Well I quit goofing off with this thing and got back on the 1:1 wannabe vintage race truck Spent 4 days in the Moro Bay area over the weekend. I took the Yeti and this jeep. Blew the rear ring & pinion in the Yeti the second day, and the jeep made it til the last day til catastrophic failure. The ring & pinion and the front housing in the jeep are from my very first AX10. The teeth were almost gone last time I looked and I had worn a hole in the housing some time ago. And that let's sand n junk in to get ground up. Time for a new front axle assembly pretty much. I have to say, this thing is way more fun than I expected. Having a full body (that you don't want to ruin) and 1.9s is a challenge. But it is every bit as fun as the DUI basher Barbie Jeep. The 1.9 Trep stickies hook and the stock SCX10 shocks are perfect for the weight of this thing. Not done with it, but it's done enough to go out and have fun with! That's a crab hiding under the drivers front tire. |
