Just to let everyone know what I've been using for the filming. It's a Canon SX280HS camera and a tripod. Little bugger works great!
Also have been using a GoPro but MAN do you have to be close to the action with that thing. The lens is nearly a 180 degree lens.
Only complaint with the SX280HS camera is that when you hold it your finger is usually on top of the flash unit. It pops up automatically and when you least expect it. If it hits your finger then it freaks out and tells you to shut off the camera and restart it. You just have to get used to a different hand grip on it so as to not interfere with the possibility of the flash popping up unannounced. Also you cannot drive it into a flash on mode (to use for fill flash in daylight) it's either "Auto" or "Off" modes. That kind of blows but overall I'm VERY pleased with it and would buy one again. It has image stabilization that works surprisingly well at full zoom. Snagged it new off eBay...

Awesome build thread. Your creativity with the story of the build, is better than most TV shows, (including HBO-CRAP)!

Insert popcorn eating emoticon.

I just love how your wider body realistically covers the tires with the full length AR60 axles.

Me too! I figure if I'm using a 21st Century body then I'm going to use Wraith axles and if it's a original GI Joe body (narrower) then it's AX10 axles. I had to share this pic with everyone as to me it just looks freaking awesome from this angle.

Sorry guys, I'm humping on this but the weather and my schedule keep conflicting on the final shots. I've also got one major scene to re-film, which meant re-constructing a necessary piece of equipment. Along the way the Jeep needed to have a few items rebuilt due to poor driving skills (I'm blaming it on a glitch in the controller) but it's been fun as h*ll making this !!! LOL...

My next post will have the part 2 video in it...

Sarge is too busy with his little "french pastry" to concentrate on driving.

Women will do it to you every time...

Without further adieu.... I present "Behind Enemy Lines" (the complete version). Many thanks to 'littleMel' for helping me with this movie. Blowing up things & bashing through doors is more fun when shared with friends.

That was by far, the best crawl'n vid I ever saw. Now the bar has been raised from not just building a cool rig, and a vid of it crawl'n, but an epic short film worthy of Cannes.

Way to go!

By far one of the most entertaining crawling vids I have seen. Amazing work on both the rig and the vid. Must've been fun blowing stuff up, and love the outtake where the jeep rolls out of the garage rather than crashing through all pretty like. =)
