Rowdys 1/6th Willys Jerp

I have been interested in one of these for a while, and noticed some people in the area have them. I was lucky enough to get a PM from Badd last week telling me his buddy jeepcj578 had one for sale, I bought it. It's artr, needs motor and Rx. I have the first of the newest line of Brood scaler motors on the way for it.

Original build thread:

New pics and updates to come once it gets here Wednesday and I begin to make it my own. "thumbsup"

Yes in Richmond, anytime you want to come down let me know.

Yeah I have seen his rigs before, he comps with us from time to time and has brought many of them out, I like the blue and white Chevy.

Nice purchase! Interested to see where you go with it.

Next comp @ belles MJ needs to bring his along. That location is hard to beat around here.

It's here and it's awesome!

There are a few things I already want to do. I need to cut the hood and hinge it. Those of you that have done this how do you secure the cowl piece afterwards, glue? The screws that hold both that and the hood on are all in the hood so once separated no screws for the cowl.

Re: Rowdys 1/6th Willys Jerp

the cowl on mine has one screw that comes up from the bottom. that works well for me.

I will have to double check that. Need to find some good hinges.

Re: Rowdys 1/6th Willys Jerp

We used tiny hinges from the smallest craft box .... we got it at Michael's arts and crafts.
Use the stock screw for holding down the cowling.
You can hold down the hood with magnets or a little Velcro.
The battery will fit perfect against the firewall...a piece of aluminum angle bolted to the bottom of the chassis.
Can't wait to see what you come up with.
