1/6 willys build
 
ill be starting a 1/6 willys build using crawler king parts does anybody have any advice on body mods, tire size , frame , gearing

Best thing you can do is look through all the builds, as it is all covered.

I would recommend a 35t motor. I used an 80T and a 55T and it is pretty slow, kind of lacks wheel speed.

definitely make a hinged hood. a roll cage is also cool. but not really necessary. It depends on what scale look you are going for.

i would also go with a 35T on 3s. use at least a 2.2 wheel, and Roc Locks look good, but the 2.2 Rock Beasts look really good too. My willy's build is pretty straightforward if you want to take a look at that. but all the others here are equally useful.

Everyone seems to have the best luck with the Disrupter t-case, they are very well built w/ HD internals and a gear reduction ratio. "thumbsup"

I would say the GCM case is just as good and smaller. Hardened steel cut gears. You will never break them.
