Default Willy.....different approach

Hi guys, this is some of the photos that I have of my Willy s build. I have wraith axles like most of the people do, but my link setup is a little different. I hope you like my build and if you have any question I ll be happy to help you.

As you can see on this picture whit the wraith skip plate you get full ground clearence up to the chassis.

Great idea, But I think you should loose the wideners and either trim the fenders a bit, or get a smaller dia. tire. Looks great though!

Yes I think the wideners are too much....trimming the fenders is also great for performance....but this Willy is so good looking, maybe smaller tires is the way to go.thanks for the feedback. ;)

Any reason you didn't cut the orginal crossmember out and just use the wraith skid.

Yes, I think this crosmember give more strength to the chassis because to put the axial skid I had to remove the interior wall of the chassis....also the full skid plate is longer so you need shorter front links...not the best option in my personal opinion

Well that's a hellva easier approach than most builds ! I like the skid idea a lot. Lose the wideners though as the wheels stick out too far - it'll look much better then.
I really like the approach you took !

LOL! Great pic of you and your son. Looks like he's getting the grasp on link geometry and suspension!

I see another jeep body in the background too !

(I'm already looking for another Jeep body to build another one again....)

Is that Dragon body wider/bigger than the one you already have?
