Can I ask, What size are the wheel wideners you were using with the SCX10 Axles

Cause I have stock width SCX10 axles with steel tubes I made my self, and wanted to use them

and seen you were using wheel wideners

Along the way I swapped out the SCX10 axles for Wraith axles; so no spacer recently. Before the swap I think I had some 12mm spacers.

Here is snap of the bumper mount that you were asking about. I had just made a slot with the cutoff wheel of my Dremel and slipped in a piece of sheet metal, then epoxied it all together.

Thanks for replying

I trimmed my front bumper similiar to how you trimmed yours

Going to epoxy the front bumper in and make a gusset of some sort

Or make some plates to mount it together on the inside of the chassis

Great work. The cage/roll bar is amazing.
So I installed full length Wraith links on the to the skid plate extending the rear axle out nearly three-fourths of and inch. My Junfac drive line was pulled all the way out... I thought I would have to take two of them with a slip joint in the middle to get the job done, but an SSD drive line made the stretch.

I also swapped out the transfer case with a 1:1 ratio and made a couple of shock hoops for the rear, removing the inboard scale ones that I had.

I Removed my custom length links and slipped in a set of Wraith links as mentioned. Here is a snap from the underside after reassembly.

I probably should have painted the shock hoops before I put it all back together again... The additional length worked out just right and it lowered the overall stance.

The swap of the 1:1 transfer case worked out well, tons more wheel speed now. one thing I forgot to do was to reverse the polarity in the motors. I goes considerably faster in reverse even with all the trims set.

One more little detail from Duck; A cool custom vinyl decal for the yellow jacket!

Here is a quick snap of the axle centered up and the dirty side painted black. It looks much better I think. I also skinnied up the front bumper. I think I will make a steel one and weld on a couple of recovery points. It'll bolt right on over the top of the plastic one.

Just a little update:

I fabbed up a sheet metal bumper cover and got it painted and installed. I had a couple of HH 55T motors that I took off of the ColdBuster MOA's from the orange one. 14T pinion gears.

I was having issues with the ESC, it just wouldn't calibrate right no matter what changes I made. I hooked it up to the Castle link and it wouldn't recognize it. I pulled it out and installed a HH Trailmaster BR-XL so all is right in the world now.

She's not nearly as fast as the 27T Axial's that I pulled out and put in Ducks rig. At some point I'll try out some 35's probably or go to 3S.

swell work

how's this winch been holding up ? Use it much ?

what voltage do you feed to it ? I'll assume it'll handle 3s voltage.

wired or wireless controller ?

I've been thinking about getting that winch for my 1/6

I haven't used it other than to pay out line and respool. I'm concerned that because of the weight I'd be asking it to move I'll destroy the gears. I almost want to put a snatch block in the system to reduce the load... I don't know.

Most of the places that I have taken it, really haven't presented a reason to winch out.

I have had bad luck with RC4WD winch controllers having four go up in smoke. A few weeks ago I got my first HeyOk controller so we'll see how it holds up!

I do have to say that the size of the Zeon 10 is perfect for a 1/6

The Zeon 10's size is what draws my interest.
And hopefully it will look as good on my 1/6 as it does on yours.

I currently have the RC4WD Warn 9.5k on my 1/10 (scx-10)
Seems to be holding up to repeated use using my heyok WWC wired directly to 3s voltage (primary batt.).

I used the RC4WD wireless winch controller initially... and it seemed to hold up to my occasional use, utilizing the same set up.
Tho' I only used it a few times before swapping out to the heyok WWC.
My heyok WWC has never let me down even after a couple years use, thus far.

I purchased the Heyok WWC mostly for an comparison to my RC4WD WWC and was very happy that I did.
Hands down my heyok WWC is superior to the RC4WD WWC in most every way.
And so the RC4WD WWC got stowed away in the spare parts box temporarily.

My Warn 9.5 ran ok using the RC4WD WWC on 3s...
but the Heyok "line lock" (hold) was a bonus compared to RC4WD's WWC.
And it seemed more efficient and performed even better using the same 3s voltage.
Plus I like heyok's slide covering FOB that does well to protect the input buttons from accidental input and external impact.

Since my RC4WD Warn 9.5 seems to be holding up to using the Heyok WWC and 3s voltage.
I'd hafta think the RC4WD Zeon 10 would fair as well or better, then does the RC4WD Warn 9.5 ?

I'm wondering if the Warn 9.5 and Zeon 10 share the same internal e components... or if the Zeon 10 utilizes different e components ?

Before I purchase another heyok WWC...
thought I should at least attempt to kill my RC4WD WWC before doing so.

Don't plan on using the Zeon 10 winch all that much...
I just like how it might look mounted up front and if it might function acceptably save me a buck.

How many volts do you run to your Zeon 10 ?

Since my Warn 9.5/heyok WWC handles 12.v +
I'd think the Zeon 10 could handle as much and might run even stronger ?

Please don't say that you draw your winch voltage thru the RX !?
Too much voltage drawn thru the RX probably isn't a good thing.

Curious to know why your RC4WD WWC(s) failed ?
And wondering why mine hasn't... yet ?

RC4WD claims their WWC will hold up to 3s voltage...
But I do recollect mine being warmer after use, then my heyok WWC becomes.
Possibly the RC4WD is just not as durable as the heyok WWC ?

Guess I'll need purchase one of those RC4WD Zeon 10's in order to compare it to my Warn 9.5.

No, not through the rx. Main battery/WC/winch. Nearly all of my trash runs on 2S. I do have a few 11.4's but have only experimented with them sparingly. With all the servos and slave servos that I'm running, a mistake of battery installs would probably let all the smoke out!

The last RC4WD controller was shipped to me as an open package... must have been a return. It already had a big burn spot in the middle, no way they could have missed that! Needless to say I have stopped ordering from them for a while.

Last week we were in Moab, Utah again for the annual Easter Jeep Safari. I took a few minutes out of the 1:1 trail crawling to record this fun set of vid's.

Selfie stick version!

I had to get Yellow ready for a night crawl recently, so I finally wired up the light bar! I know, hold the applause!

Another idea I had rattling around in the ol brain bucket was flash lights and head lamps. They turned out too cool!
