Nylint jeep body / mad torque

1/6 Jeep body on 1/8 Mad Torque crawler.
Simply attached the jeep body onto the Mad Torque chassis.Made it as low as I could.I trimmed out a small channel in the rear of the body tub and notched out some very small grooves in front of the body tub , then used zip ties to secure.I also limited up travel with some bump-stops on the shocks so it would not rub the body.I did shorten the wheel base with the optional adjustments on the chassis and removed the rear spring spacers.I did use a small spring spacer up front.

Looks like a great fit. Is it top heavy? Parking it next to the larger jeep is a good way to make it look small.

Re: Nylint jeep body / mad torque

The Barbie jeep is my next project *NOT*
I should have put my Honcho next to it instead.
It is top heavy but I've only rolled it once.
I wanted another SCX-10 for Christmas but it was not in our budget this year,so I remembered the Exceed crawler was half the price , plus I could re-use (what was my first crawler) the Nylint Jeep body I was holding on to for so long.
I probably won't run this thing that much but I'm glad I found a chassis to use for it.
Thanks!

Fantastic! Been trying to find a chassis for my old Nylint body. Sent you a PM for some details.

It looks a little funny from this angle. I broke a knuckle seconds after that. Waiting for ax10 replacements.

Thanks to JCO245 for posting this up here! Been wanting to get some sort of chassis back under this body for a while.

Debating building a more realistic frame / chassis and doing something a little more lcog to help with the weight of the body.

I would look at Traxxas Summit it would have the wheel base close to what you need.

The body... You should buy some epoxy appliance paint. Thee are some things that you need to know about using it as a base coat. 1) it takes a long time to dry. 2 spyed) it has to be dry before adding another coat if you do spray before it dries it will pull the previous coat up and wrinkle.

Re: Nylint jeep body / mad torque

Can I get some info on those wheels and tires? Size? What are they from? I have a 1:6th build waiting for me to give it attention and I have some old RC4WD 3.2 beadlock wheels but cant really find any tires that I like to fit the body I have. I have a few older 3.2 HPI tires that I have cut up and awaiting glue to narrow them but they still dont fit the bill or likes.
NEVER MIND I SEE THEY ARE FROM THE MAD TORQUE. loL!

If anyone can chime in with some help would be much appreciated.
