When I can get to it. The beater body is going to be a carpenters truck so I need a lumber rack also.

Couple updates: Drive train done, interior 95% done and had to post the boat slides!!! 12" long. Brings the weight to 12.3 lbs. Not bad for a 1/6 scale. Oh, started a 1/6 Dragon Willy's build, collecting parts here and there for it. Hoping to have both done for Axialfest! Last edited by Norton; 04-30-2015 at 10:30 PM. |

Nice rigs, may I suggest putting in some upper supports for the boat sides. They will bend up and down. I have had sets exactly like what you have on. Trust me. |

Once I get all the screws in, they won't bend. 1/16" stainless. As they sit right now I can't bend them. Plus the body sits right on top of them and is bolted down. I did think about some supports from the slider to the frame rail though. Thanks though, if they do move I'll do that.

I'm liking that Willy's, also like to see a build thread on it, chassis set up, hood hinge. Nice simple roll cage, looks good |

Purely for mockup. About to buy some AR60's for it though. That means the build will start pretty soon.

Small update: The new axles showed up today so I mounted up some 2.2 Swampers XL's. I'm liking the look so I'm headed in that direction. My 1:1 truck is going in to the shop tomorrow till Friday afternoon. Need to pick up some all thread and brake line so I can make the links etc while I'm sitting on my ass for two day's. I have to finish up some wiring on the Gladiator too. Anyway, a couple pics. |

Lookin awesome. I agree with Flea/\ I'm just curious why most of the roll bar/cages I've seen have an arch in the roof portion?????? |

I did that too on mine. I had seen some other builds like that when I made mine, and I believe it's to keep your head off the ground, or further away from it on a rollover.

| Re: 1/6 sacale Jeep Gladiator build. I think that it also mimics the "roof line" from the soft tops for the 1:1 jerps. Most folks would have a full cage in their flat fenders but also ran soft tops, so the cage had to be bent to accommodate the soft top.
