I decided to do some well placed weathering on the Willy's tonight. Nothing crazy, I did make it look like there was a radiator problem in the past.  |

The Gladiator was killer at Axialfest. It went up, over, around or thru everything. My buddy behind me lost his winch before the first gate on course D so I pulled up all the difficult stuff. His rig was 13lb and the Gladiator didn't even notice. On the way back from messing around we came across some of the U4 jumps. Totally punched it on the second try and it FLEW! A little update on the Dragon Willy's: I didn't really get to much footage of it because I snapped the output shaft on the RC4WD two speed trans. I'm thinking that I'm going to just make another Bombproof SCX10 single speed and drop that in. A bunch of us are going back up to Cisco Grove on the 15th for a one night camp out. I'll get some footage of it then. Sierra Trek is on the 8th which is a 1:1 event but Parker sets up a scale event also. Gonna try to make both but not sure yet. Ether way, I'll be taking pics and vids. |

I can't wait to see your video. Rig looks awesome. May I suggest the RRP single piece output shaft. That should solve your current issues, as long as it fits.

Something like the silver one is going in the Willy's. I build my own version of the SuperShafty Bombproof. The silver one is the VW and the black one is in the Dodge flatbed. 6mm outputs all the way! |

Wow nice turn out.What's with all the chrome domes on the heads... And i see another with Axial logo,to funny.Looks like you had a great time and some competition....What I can see maybe 300,400,head count.... Wish i was there just to see all the nice rigs.... Pretty sure about 600 people ran at AF, there was easily over 1000 people including family's and such. First time in 15 years Cisco Grove was completely booked. If you ran all six courses it was over twenty miles! The silver hats were a AF theme, Tinfoil hats.

I decided for now at least to keep the RC4WD 2 speed tranny, I ordered a new heavy duty output shaft. I know a guy that's running brushless with this tranny and output and has had no issue's. The output is the weak point of this trans being that all of the internals are steel already. Might pick up a ROC 412 and a MMP for it soon. Probably not before we hit Cisco Grove on the 15th though. It will be ready though by then .

I finally yanked the trans out of the Willy's and replaced the output shaft. It's back in action and will probably hit some rock tomorrow. On another note, I started hacking up the new NuKizer body and came up with a new bed for it. Long way to go on it though, it will be cool and scaled out by the time I'm done though!
