Not bad the only movement is where the upper rod ends go into the silver truss. I may try axial balls instead of the Traxxas. See if that helps.

Default Mudbeast's Willies build

Yes, but I fixed it. I was able to fit in a 3mm flat washer between each rod end. Now there is no more slop. Rear links are done!

Small update, GI Joe got himself a set of goggles & a helmet. I also scored a fuel can off eBay. I'll have to bend up a bracket for it.

I also cut the cowl from the hood.

Late night update!

We have a roller! I relocated the upper links, completed the lower links. Built steering links. Installed the shocks. She sits great! The front is a little high because there is nothing in the engine compartment. The articulation seems pretty impressive. But that just posing!
Here are the pics!

Pull the drivers shirt up and slap rubber band around him and the seat and he will stay in place but still move when the jeep moves!

Great lookin' roller Lou.

Twisted, not a bad idea.
My thought is to use a 11" black zip tie. It will give it a seat belt look and won't deteriorate over time.

Default Mudbeast's Willies build

I started messing with the grill, I mounted a Traxxas fan by the motor. I then laid out the receiver & esc. I still need to make a battery tray for the cowl area.

I have the original rear axle still, it may be good for a trailer build.

Or, you could sew up a racing harness like this from shoelaces, I think I recall you saying you were going to use a roll bar/cage.

Well Jeepin Paul is hooking me up with a extra cage he has. Once I receive it I'll come up with a restraint system. Thanks to everyone for all the input & ideas!

That's a great idea. Looks like the cage was built for that very purpose.

Holy fast build ! Don't these 1/6 scale rigs normally take months or even years to complete? Thanks for putting this build on here. You have now forced my hand, I'm gonna have to completely rebuild mine....... And steal lots of you're great ideas!!!! Lol.
