Ooops, sorry about that. Should be fixed now, lmk.

By the way, I had to remove the grill to get some in the engine compartment. Solution is under way.

I like the video John, good job! In post # 182 you mentioned the grill was off, I'm assuming for air to get into the engine compartment. I don't know which Jeep build it was, the builder cut a hole where the radiator should be, and installed an electric fan to suck air into and past the motor to keep it cool, and put a screen across it to mimic an actual radiator, you might try that.

And I don't know why I don't have heat issues. My motor and trans sits in the middle of the chassis covered by the body. The grill is in place, but I don't have a simulated radiator, so when you look from the front you can see the electronics box. I'll have to remember to check the temps when I run it. I haven't torn it down yet, so I'll check it this weekend.

Thank you for the positive comments. I have an idea, that ties into the name of the build, for airflow.

" Luvered hood" hummm, what am I going to do???????

Instead of putting louvres in maybe just cut a hole in the hood and fabricate a hood scoop to vent the heat.

Punching louvres in aluminum or steel is easier than hard plastic. The plastic on the jeep hood may deform or split.

Another option (If your hood can fit it). Buy 2 and cut out the center section or 1 and use the sides.

I'm kind of surprised your having heat issue's. I run a Tekin 35T hand wound in mine and as long as I don't kick it into 2nd gear to much it barely gets warm. Touched it after about 30 mins and it was just barely warm. The front of my grill is open though. By the way, the reason you don't see to many pics of it at AF 2015 is I snapped the output on the RC4WD 2 speed.

Stelerzman, great video and Jeep! Really have enjoyed this thread.

Norton - I was wondering what happened. I was really hoping to see some photos of your 1/6 Jeep from AF, but after combing through the photo thread on Axial's Facebook page, I couldn't find a single one! Bummer. Were you the only one there with a 1/6 Willys?

There was one guy that I know of, we were suppose to get together but there were so many people that I never saw him.

Plenty of great ideas and suggestions. What I have is SS and a bit on the thick side. So I might have to cut them out, with a 1/4" of over hang, and mount them from under neath the hood then cut a square hole in the hood. Might be a little less noticeable, but still functional.
I'm hoping to get some work done on it today or tomorrow.

Got it mapped out, cut and now I'm working on how to mount it to the under side of the hood.

I will spray it flat black before I mount it.
