I like the lights and front stinger.i recently changed my front bumper for a grill guard and stinger, but I didn't put in a plate for a winch. However, there is a gap between the stinger that I can open up for a fairlead, and run a remote winch from between the body and frame.

I'm currently re-doing the trailer, trying to fab some leafs from rake tines, and making a straight axle. The trailer, as it was, sat lower than the jeep.

I was thinking of doing a cage on my 1/6 TJ build...
But yours looks kinda small in diameter. That 3/16" solid rod ?
strong enough probably... but size matter to me

a thicker solid rod would likely be too heavy.
Aluminum tube would prolly work best at keeping the COG lower...
But I'd have to purchase a spool gun or braise for that work

Guess I'll just leave the plastic cage on mine
and concentrate elsewhere.

your crawler looks cool in it's environment

Gotch Taco, yea it's 3/16" solid and it's bent from the fall in the previous picture. I'll be gathering up some 1/4" to remake the cage and bumper.

will you be attempting 1/4" solid or a tube ?

1/4" is probably the appropriate thickness
as far a looks go.
Was thinking of using 1/4" solid rod to fab up some sliders for my junk.

Was just curious if the solid 1/4" rod might be too top heavy for a cage ?

Good news, I picked up 4 sticks of the 1/4" X 72" break line. Now I'm looking for a replacement torch to braze it together. My bernzo matic hose is getting old and is dry rotting. So as soon as I get one I'll jump on the cage and bumpers.

The quarter inch brakeline works very well, mine is strong enough that I use it to carry the Jeep. I'm skeptical about your mini torch. While it looks cool, I hope it doesn't burn so hot it melts your material.

I'm sure it will work, Concidering the valves are adjustable. My currect torch takes around 20 -30 sec to get hot enough to flow solder.
This should cut down build times.

Well, its about DAMN time. The micro torch finally arrived. Pretty cool little fella. Can't wait to test it out.

Here are a few pic's.

It looks like a great little torch, and with the right touch, could be EPIC.

Nice. Your better than me. I would have tried it out already. Did you get regs and tanks or already have those?
