Can you hold them in a vice-grip and grind them down a bit to clearance. Run a nut down the screw so when you're done grinding, you can dress the thread before screwing back into the axle.

That's kinda the plan, just no vice grips. I'll post up my jig after diner.

I must say, this axle is SEXY. It's all assembled and installed.

Just a little fine tuning of the lower links to get it all squared up.

The transfer case has been relocated, I moved it back a 1/4" and over a 1/4". I was shocked how much it improved the drive line geometry.

I'm working on the front upper links and reworking the motor/ trans configuration.

New upper links are done for the front end.

I'll get the motor/trans redone in the morning.

Links are in. I had to bend them because I made them too long.
Oh well, it worked out. Gave more clearance for the front drive shaft.

Need some help:
I can't figure out how to shift the axle to the left about an1/8".
As far as I can tell all links are the same length and all the spacers are equal length. The front axle is off set to the right side.

Thanks for any ideas.

The link on the left in post #110 sure looks longer.

I see what your saying, but that is because of the angle I had to take the picture. They are equal length.

Judging by the photo in post 111, the axle and links look square to the frame, but is the frame square to the body? You might need to kick the front of the chassis over 1/8 to center it on the body.

Thanks for the help guy's. I tracked down the alignment issue.
It was the upper link mount that I made, it was off center by 1/8". I also noticed that the servo mount was lifting the frontend. So I moved it to the axle. I'm not happy about it, but at least it will be more solid and I'll get more of the servo power to the knuckles.

I've had a few issues with gearing and have it sorted out. It seams I had it over geared to the point I smoked another motor while testing.

At least that's behind me. I do have a few spur and pinion gears coming to fine tune with.

As of right now I have a 6.0 ratio in it via a 9/54 combo. I did a short, 5-8 min. run in the yard earlier today and the motor didn't pass 100*. That's much lower then before.

I should get a few pics up tomorrow while I test things out.
