Thanks guys for the Kudos. I couldn't take it. I cut off the back hoop that was higher and redid it. I also added two support bars. Why only two you ask? I will be putting flat stock on the Front Passanger side (Attached on the outside of bar) and Rear driver for Jerry or Rotopax if i can find the right size. Do you think i should add the two bars anyway?

Side Note:
I should have known but i now know why i was having trouble with attaching the hoops and using so much solder on the rails. The rails i chose are just too thick and i was having a hard time controlling the heat. The two support bars were really easy and i used maybe 2in of solder for the 4 joints.

If you're replicating the AP rack, then I say yes, add the other 2 bars, if, however, those bars will be hidden from view due to other attachments or accessories, then no.

Yeah i agree. I have gone this far so i added the bars and one of the accessory plates (Pass Side). I am officially out of solder. I'll order some up, finish the rear accessory plate and give it a little soda blasting before Powder Coating. Not sure on the color but probably Gun Metal Grey as my axles and chassis will be that color. I think there is too much black up top already. Opinions on color choices?

If you're going to keep the hardbody colors, paint the bedrails black, & the hoops, braces and accessory plate orange.

Yup. Body colors will stay the same. I like the scheme you mentioned. Might go with that.

1st Accessory arrived. Looking for axes, shovel and containers now.

Found some containers at Office Depot. Will paint them up and then make a rack to hold them.

I bought it for my Wraith but it was way way to big. It doesn't scale to 1/10. Closer to 1/8.

Received my rods in the mail and just had to do a little more work tonight. Made the bar supports for the containers and put on the Drivers Accessory plate.

Waiting for the RotoPax to come in and it says due July 17th. I have scale bungee cords or i might buy those scale ratchet straps. Either one will require a hoop on the bed rail to hook to. Until i get the Rotopax i think i am pretty much finished with the brazing.

WWOOOOOHHHOOOO! Received my chassis today from BPC. What an amazing chassis. Spot on measurements, Very nicely cut out chassis and i am Very happy with the outcome. This is my first time dealing with BPC. This company is extremely knowledgeable and came down to my level of knowledge to explain a few geometry items (Shock placement) so i could understand the benefits of different placements etc. I would highly recommend them if you need a custom chassis.

I had this trailer for my SCX10 Rubicon but decided to keep it when i sold the Rubi. It is suppose to be 1/10 scale but it was a little big behind the Rubi. I was making a top out of Styrene for a Roof Top Tent but that project got sidelined when i sold the SCX. Though it is not 1/6 scale i think it is Government close in scale to use it with this build in the future. Opinions?

Ya I think it'll work, looks to be the right width and height, we'll get a better look at it when you get the chassis put together

Thanks for the comments. All comments from everyone made me push my comfort level at my first attempt at brazing. It's not perfect, square or straight but i am happy with the results.

I want to run VP Currie Front, SSD Centered Rear but i may just run stock AR60's to get it up and running and upgrade later. So, I am on the search for Axles and 2.2 rims/tires for mock up. As always funds will dictate where i go from here.

Now that i have the chassis i can get the body mounted and do the rear bumper. The back part of the body was cut out for i presume a pre-runner look so the bumper will incorporate a filler panel for that part. It will be a little slower form here on out while is search for mock up items. Plan is by end of August for a maiden run.

Nice work there. LOVE that trailer!

If you guys like oxy/acy or oxy/propane brazing, check out the Smith Little Torch on Amazon. It's made for jewelers and is PERFECT for rc crawlers. The jewelers torch allowed me to braze some upper roll cage joints with the roll cage still in my Jeep. And nothing melted.
