Barbie can't change a tire fer chit... useless

I've never purchased a female doll in my life..
so I'll bet I'm not very good at shopping for one now.
But I have been eyeballing a few ebay options.

Joe never says anything... just sit's there looking nowhere
maybe he's into some kinky chit, lgb or even a peta lover ?

I'll find something to throw into that seat...
but wanting something with high articulation, maybe boobs,
that can change a tire and isn't afraid of dirt.

I was thinking Phicen... but seems costly
probably too real looking seated next to Joe.
So maybe something nearer to Joe's workings.

I can't decide... so that's why I've done nothing

I was looking at that link you posted on my Jeep thread for the German Tent, there's also figures on there, but more expensive, they had a bloodied Carrie doll, but only in 8 inch, the 1/6 females are $49

More filler... 'cause I've done nothing to my 1/6 scale build

---------------------

Still haven't invested in or selected Joe's 1/6 scale shotgun partner...

Instead... had to pony up for some SCX-10 improvement's.

Purdy much an affliction, would seem, that I've been doomed with

Wished I could have purchased a custom set of these R2j stainless steel
susp. links for my 1/6 Nylint/Wraith build.
Probably would have spent less with near the same satisfaction/result.

Oh well... gotta feed both money pit(s) occasionally.
...so thought I'd share that here

Not planning to convert this to a large scale... yet
even tho' I did in fact purchase some taller tires for it.
Not better tires necessarily... just a bit taller ( 4.65" )

Guess my 1/10 scale needs to be able to roll
similar terrain as my 1/6 TJ can regardless of scale.

Awww, are we still a teenager?

I'm 57 years old, if I'm in the Barbie aisle looking for a compatriot for one of my projects, it's no big thing, and what a great way to meet hot ladies, as they think you're picking something out for a granddaughter or niece

So I replaced the plastic bed liner with 22ga steel plate.
Kinda heavy... but not overbearing
and the TJ is still exceptably biased towards the front.

I used four blobs of Shoe Glue to secure
the plate to the TJ's bed.
I could bolt the plate down to the bed... if I need to
But likely won't bother unless the Shoe Glue fails.

Then I dremeled some recessed holes into the dog's under paws
and inserted/glued four small (strong) magnets in them.

I used E6000 for hold... but may have to use some other glue
if that don't stick/hold well to the dog's plastic material.

If the E6000 holds as I hope,
the dog can be moved around into any position inside the bed
and will stay put, likely even in the event of a roll over.

I was going to put some felt under the magnets
so if the dog shifts any... It shouldn't marr the steel plate's
black painted surface.
But if that happens... sand and repaint... easy task.

I hot glued the fuel cans back into their original location in the bed.
Eventually I'll mount the MFC outside next to the spare tire.
But I gotta fabricate MFC holders that will tie into the spare tire mount.
So that lazyiness sits on the back burner.

I'll post pictures if any one gives a hoot.
otherwise... I'm feeling rather lazy.

Regarding the magnets inserted into the dogs paws...
well... I'm kinda proud how those turned out.

So showing those magnets installed into the dog's paws
might make for an interesting picture.

Yes my 1/6 TJ still lives... quite well actually.

pictures added 10/19/16...

A guy from work collected a bunch of his kids and his nephew & nieces unused toy grade RC's a month ago, and dropped them off at my house. I promptly stripped them of their chassis', and now have a slew of Hardbodies that I will eventually post in the wanted section for trade for some needed parts. 4 of the bodies look like 1/16, but I did mange to get a couple 1/10 New Brights, and a 1/6 blue Yamaha Quad like yours.

I thank you for your gratuity...
and always appreciate your consideration and assist.
Your Hasbro trailer donated to me... will be enshrined (historical speak)
And will live on... for others to see.

Well... once I can make that happen anyways.

Entertainment for me until my time runs out would seem.
'cause reality is... nothing is forever

My son cares little about my RC hobby.
Even tho' I've wasted my money on buying 'im toys over the years.

So I figure he'll get rid of all of it... once I've gone.
Likely give it away for pennies...
disregarding any time or energy I put into them

meh... such is life.

But I'll suppose I won't be caring all that much.

----------------

Besides the 1/6 scale quad
did you get any other 1/6 scale bodies ?

I've always wanted a NewBright 1/6 scale Jeep
or one of those 1/6 pick-up truck bodies.

Not that I ever really needed one...
I just had an interest of making an attempt. Lol

No, just the quad.

The 2 1/10 New Bright bodies are a Jeep and a Land Rover, I'll remove them if you don't want them here.

I got this 1/8th scale Honda Elsinore CR250M from the early 70's and it was a bad ass bike in it's day, that I have had since I was kid

I used to play with it for hours and used to have a action figure that could sit on the bike

He was smaller than a G. I. Joe, not sure what scale or size he was

Its looks kinda of too small the trailer looks bigger, but a 1/6th scale bike is way too big,

it might not look too back with some tie downs or maybe a bigger 1/8th scale bike

Not to be a smart ass, but, it would stand to reason that if the bike is a 1/8, more than likely the figure was 1/8 also

The '74 Elsinore's 1:1 length was 84.3" (7.025')
so if it were 1:6 scale it would need be 14.05" long or so.

1974 Honda CR250M Elsinore Specifications

And M100 trailer's tub length is 72" (6.0')
the M416's tub would have been the same length, tho' slightly wider.

^ look up the specs yourself.

That means an elsinore would have been longer
then the tub length of an M100 - M416 trailer.

Your Elsinore's length clearly looks shorter then the trailer's tub.
And the height looks short as well. (44.9" @ 1:1)

An 1:6 scale Elsinore would measure in around 7.5" tall for 1:6.

Measure the actual length, height and width of your toy Elsinore
and use a calculator to determine its true scale. (or nearest scale)

Bottom line... no way is your Elsinore 6th scale.
Straps holding it... won't fix that booger no matter how ya slice it.

Pick another scale... probably some oddball toy scale
as the rider was likely designed specifically to fit that toy.

1:9 - 1:8 maybe... but you do the math

----------------

realize the Hasbro M100/M416 trailer is likely not true scale either.

I looked online and the Elsinore CR250M was made by Mattel in the 70's and was called the Big Jim Motocross Honda

And it says it is 1/8th scale, your right a 1/6th scale bike is 14'' long and that too long for the Hasbro trailer and would be a lot higher

I found one 1/9th scale, its a streetbike and been out of production for years and not available

Cause I'm not cutting the tail gate and leave it dropped down so a 1/6th scale bike could fit

even thought I found a 1/6th scale Honda XR400 and could paint it OD Green or Flat Black like the Special Forces Teams have

1:9 scale is smaller then 1:8
so why would you contemplate that ?

Maybe that's a typo and you meant 1:7 ?

I converted a 1:18 chassis crawler to 1:6 scale
because the chassis length is acceptable for 1:6
But only when a 1:6 scale body is adorned.

Many 1:10 scale RC's are not really 1:10 scale
It's just close enough for most lookers.

But it depends on the correlation and fit
of both the body and chassis and if those are mated properly.

Often either the chassis or body is not actually true to scale.

I know that my Honcho body that came with my SCX-10
is not truly 1:10 scale... but it's close enough.

Same can be said for the SCX-10 chassis.
As it is also not true to scale of the bodies included with it.

But like I said prior... close enough.

Most folk wouldn't notice the difference
if it bit them on the arse.

Overly huge tires is what is popular and what consumers want...
Being realistic or true to scale... garners little interest.

But scale does garner my interests...
and is why my 1:6 TJ does not roll 40's nor 8" tires
that stick out way past the body's fenders.

To each their own... But I'm not trying to replicate a toy.
It was already that when I started

Go check out the "Scale Builder's Guild" forum...
possibly there is a vendor there that will help you custom build your cage.

But realize those users are not yer average noobs
and so put up with little BS and avoid bonehead discussions.

So if ya go there... act smart... even if yer not Lol

I got a plan to get the windshield for the Hasbro editing done and printed

Cause with the windshield, I can have a simple roll cage made

and not have the bars and plate making a fake windshield

Then I could do the three loops like you talked about

And keep it simple and the weight down

Thought a proper thanks to Mike Flea,
for his gratutious trailer donation towards my 6th scale TJ build,
could be most appreciated by showing what's become

So here's some pics of Mike's trailer behind my 1:6 TJ jeep.

yah... so I got a little carried away with the repetitive mock up pictures.
was just displaying these photos for Mike's scrapbook memories

2.2 BFG's @ 5.5"
kinda big... gonna hafta' do a little trimming as is.

...it's gonna look purdy nice behind the TJ, me thinks.

~ but I knows I gots me lots 'O work in store ~

-------------

~ just thinking out loud ~

One of the primary concerns I have is the solid axle design...
it's locked differentiation is not good for trailer towing.

I'm going to have to figure out how to install
independantly spinning hubs on the this axle tube.

Or do something else altogether that allows for wheel/tire differentiation.

The purpose of the inner and outer locknuts was to be for the tires to spin independently of each other. If you tightened them down tight on the axle, that's why they are moving together. The innermost locknuts were set ( to the point where there was 0 side-to-side movement in the axle tube, but that the inner axle would spin inside the outer axle), the black spacers fit into where the 12mm hex would go, then the outer locknut to secure your wheel to the axle. I see you still need to make a hitch. Enjoy
