Looks good , Did you make the antenna the same way cmbscx10 did? I gotta make me a bikini top for mine, that looks good, makes it look more scale. |

| re: 1/6 Wraith/Nylint TJ Jeep + scale quad looks similar I suppose... but no it's just a black 1/10th scale antenna tube slotted-grooved at the tube's base to press into a sleeve/cap... thus securing the lower end of the wire. The tube was then spiral wrapped with black led wire. Glue wasn't necessary to secure the wire's spiral wrap. The cap placed at the top keeps the upper wire's end secured there and seemingly it all stays put. was easier this way... meh it's close enough ...or maybe I was just being lazy with it !? it is a little too thick... but it's durable and cheap to replicate-repair Last edited by TacoCrawler; 11-18-2015 at 01:03 AM. |

sooo... spent a few minutes and welded up a spare tire mount. Nothing special... carries the spare spare mount will utilize an idf type wheel and will have a matching BFG tire mounted. ^ waiting on a trade. Because I PD'd most every thing fm gray to black that included the radiator/headlight cowling. Sooo... Put some foil behind the headlights to give some type of natural reflection. It was gray behind there prior to the black PD But I can't really tell much difference with the foil. oh well... good enough for now. Bulbs/lights will get wired later. PD'd black wheel well views... I even PD'd the twin LiPo's black some undercarriage views... I'll likely PD the hood's underside somewhat to further create a visual of "see less" Last edited by TacoCrawler; 11-20-2015 at 06:26 PM. |

welp... got a little over zealous with the pd undercoating... initially... was just gonna do just the center of the hood... but I thought it was still too bright under there. Sooo... after eyeballing it a little while... I decided to pd the whole hood's underside. Hopefully... more = less !? Lol I think it looks acceptable. blends and masks the under carriage decently. and the best part is... it peels off easily if I change my mind. |

Welllllllllll... I'm not gonna 'cuz then I'd need spend more money why... you don't like the orange !? ...it's a brilliant visual when it's rolling upright less orange showing means it probably needs an assist Lol |

I like the orange on the outside, the dark on the inside of the hood helps a lot, fenderwells in the front would help keep your electronics dry and clean. And yes, orange is a brilliant visual, on the outside.

| re: 1/6 Wraith/Nylint TJ Jeep + scale quad ^ inner fender well liners I don't plan on getting too elaborate with those. I'll be fab'ing up some rocker sliders... and those will get metal sheet added underneath them. ( aka boatsides ) The sheet end's will be bent upwards front/aft, following the body's lines hopefully emulating inner fender wells to some extent. But if nothing else... will act as tire debris kick up/splash guards. but I'll have to wait until I'm done fab'ing those... to see/know if those will do the trick. oh btw... all my electronics have been made so or are waterproof so I'm not worried about those. If I failed and they fry during a good bathing or splash... so be it... I'll just get another e component and try again. Last edited by TacoCrawler; 11-23-2015 at 03:12 PM. |

That is one well trained pooch, he never moved even when you were bouncing back and forth on those rocks! |

could not shake the mutt proof... that hot glue can hold. Was actually thinking of putting magnets in each paw... and replace the bed liner with some (not too heavy) sheet steel. That way I could animate the mutt, by changing it's positions. ...just an idea, not sure I'll do that.

Awesome video. You have access to great terrain. That's 90% of the hobby. I think for your headlights...I would get 2 of those cheap alloy bodied flashlights and pull the led board out and use them behind the lens. They look to be the perfect size. Discussing the details I think you could add some contrast with color on the seams and rear latches. Adding some flares would work. Do you like those 1:1 genright flares? |

but all I have is the basic windows movie maker program Yes I already have those particular led flashlights and have been eyeballing those to see if I could make them fit. Possible... but not an exact fitment. As far as the small details... paint - etc. I might paint on some body detail later... but for now... while I'm still testing this rig... I'd probably just rub most of that paint detail off the body. Eventually... I plan on repainting the whole body. I'm not a 1:1 Jeep fan so I can't say squat about those genright flares. But generally... I don't like flares... as they just get boogered or ripped off on the trail. Instead... I'll be fab'ing up some sliders... and will add solid rod surrounding the circumference of the fender wells... and those will tie into the sliders and front - rear bumper(s). Haven't decided yet... But I might remove some material off the front fenders effectively narrowing them somewhat. Reason being: the front fender lips tend to get hung up on things. and that is causing stress fracture to the front fender's. Sooo... they could possibly break off before I get the chance to trim them down The other option seems more difficult as I would need make more bends to the wheel well rods in order to wrap around the front fender lips. So I'll revisit my idea later when I get there.

received a spare bfg tire in trade and mounted that up. still need another wheel tho' either a single Axial Trail Ready or Method so I will have a matched set of 5 ^ I currently have only four of each style anyone have either ^ of these two wheels laying around... and want to be rid of it or 'dem. please pm me and let me know. The spare tire was raised about 1/2" on it's mount. reason being... better departure angle... and... I intend to replace all with taller tires one day. The bad... now the dog can't see and the spare tire position/size makes it look smaller currently the tires are 5.5" tall 2.2's I will look to purchase something closer to 6" for the next refresh. |

That turned out nice , and the dog can see just fine...but if he can't, you may need to get him a little seeing-eye dog of his own |

...thanks okay so maybe it's "I can't see the dog now" ...better !? Lol water proofed the bi-mini top too no practical reason but water sheds well and didn't discolor. think I might make a video of that !? Lol In the mean time... threw this short clip together. https://youtu.be/IMibuoC0n8I Last edited by TacoCrawler; 12-04-2015 at 12:43 AM. |
