I ran a pack through it last night to see how the trans was going to work out and WOW. the gearing is PERFECT. Low is comparable to a lathe and gd600 and high will scoot pretty good.

Congrats on the win today, I am sure there were some sweet rigs at that comp.

You have some serious skill man, gotta tell ya when I saw the begining of the chassis I didn't think I would like it. WOW was I ever wrong.

Can't wait to see some more coverage on it.

Default Drill Gearbox?

How do you get all of the other stuff off of the drill motor and gearbox? Such as the chuck and all that junk I have an old black and decker 9.6v I would really enjoy doing this with.

Very nicely done.
it'll be great to see a vid of it, as i have had 2 or 3 drill gearboxes laying around, and i couldnt figure out how to connect the output.
Only just figured on a driveshaft the other day, then i see yours

That thing is incredible! One thing is missing. You need to install a CPU Fan from a Computer as you electric fan for the motor. Look at mine for reference.
