Default 1/6 ranger build-up

I've been wanting to start a truck like this since "Shelly" I finally got my 1/6 scale ranger from etoys.com last week and started doing some body work. I wasn't diggin' the step-side bed so . ... ... out came the sawzall

This is how we started out. normal bed-side seperated from the inside bed.

Next - hack the crap out of perfectly good bed-side and begin to piece it back together. I used ca and tubing to hold everything straight and masking tape across the front to give me something to lay fiberglass onto.

Then, slap some bondo on it and sand till your hands cramp, spray enough primer on it to get high, and sand some more since your cramps went away while you were priming. Then put some COLOR ON IT!!

Very nice Now you get to stretch the tailgate and the floor of the bed. The rest of the build should be pretty good, too

I dont know how much time I spent looking at those pics but it was far too long

You had better take a lot of pics during your build

something else I've been working on for a while but will be used for this build. It's a dewalt drill trans modified to use a 540 size motor ( I will prob. go BIG brushless) and have a maxx output. 1-tuff-shift-on-the-fly-2-speed. This thing really gears it down low so I'm gonna have to build a 1:1 transfer case.
