How wide are those Willys bodies from the outside of the front fenders? I'm really thinking of trying to pick one up for a project.

From looking online G.I.Joe is Hasbro and always has been Dragon is a different company by its self Then there is 21st Century I own 2 21st Century 1/6 scales one is a Military Humvee and its big for a 1/6 scale and the other is a Jeep Mutt that is smaller then the Humvee but bigger than Dragon Jeep Then there is World of War and maybe a few other companies making or made 1/6 scale Jeeps The Dragon and the 21st Century are more detailed then the rest Last edited by kgb424; 07-04-2016 at 05:33 PM. |

Just received the Dragon kit today. Its a bit larger than the Hasbro witch is cool. The Hasbro plastic seems much stronger then the Dragon. The Dragon plastic seems more brittle and prone to cracking from a small impact (the inevitable roll). Also the chassis is much flimsier and don't think filling it with epoxy will suffice. Quite honestly, I’m bit disappointed in the quality and am on the fence if I will build this into a true crawler. Just my thoughts on this kit, I’ll start the build and see what direction it will take me. Cheers |

I got my Dragon Kit yesterday, and also did a little mock up And came too the same conclusion, that chassis rails need to be made I got some 1/8'' plate, that I'm going to trace the Dragon chassis onto and plasma cut them So the rails have the same profile as the Dragon chassis to match the Jeep body profile Last edited by kgb424; 08-25-2016 at 01:21 AM. |
