Default Hasbro Willys - Comp Style

So as with my last couple builds, its been a while lol.

Been messing with this on and off for about a week. Bought a crawler king and the axles aren't wide enough for what I want so ill be looking for some AR60s.

I decided to build this more comp oriented instead of daily driver/weekend trail rig mainly because I didn't want to buy shorter tires lol.
So I cut the rear fenders.

Followed by a sheet style chassis rail.

Decided I wanted to do more with the chassis, so I picked up some 1/2" square tubing and welded it up.

And split it down the middles.

Looking good, I'll be following your build, it's the same Hasbro Jeep as mine, "New Project ( for me )".

Frizzlefry, "My 70s GI Joe Jeep", also did a comp cut on his Jeep.

Thanks guys, Ill check out those builds you mentioned.
I bought this body almost 2 years ago when I was getting back into building, I bought up about 6-8 1:6 bodies then sold everything again. This one stuck around for some reason lol.

Hopefully this time I stick around and keep building, got a couple other bodies already in line after this one.

Little more work done today.
Plated the frame rails in the insides of the cuts.

Then decided to do something about the current floor/firewall being the hacked state that it is in.

So I removed it and replaced it all with sheet metal.

And then added a new trans tunnel.

I almost bought a Hasbro Willy's, there was a couple that were reasonable

But I went with the Humvee cause it is something different

either way the chassis would cause me problems I still can't figure out the layout

So I don't have to have shock loops welded on later

And I can't draw worth a shit, I have drew out a few shock loops

but nothing seems right

Curious what you do with the old school seats as I have three of these to play with in the future.

Just going to make a steel skid.

T-case is mounted, just haven't posted updates yet as I ran out of welding wire.

It's mine now

Still focusing on my IH CXT and trailer build but I have some plans for this thing AR60s, SSD breadlocks and RC4WD Rok Lox. I wanna use a Holmes 27t combined with a RC4WD 16:1 planetary transmission (along with the RC4WD transfer case it already has).
