Most of the builds have shortened the front bumper to eliminate interference, and/or installed front guards and stingers. Take a look through the picture archive at the top of the Large Scale page.

He said he was open to suggestions

true 'dat

compromise ? Lol

90* view...

would be a shame to cut/narrow the front bumper
on such a highly detailed body/kit.

But to each their own I'll suppose.

Guess we'll both know more...
whence the OP makes determination

How strong is that tcase you think? Where did you get it and what is it called? You think it would hold up on a 12lb rig?

I think he's using the T1 Disruptor. The internals are solid. This transfer case fits the Hasbro cross member and tucks under the body perfectly like it was made for it.

Correct...sorry still can't figure out how to multi quote. My tablet doesn't like doing it I think

I got my wheels today. Several reasons why I chose them but it's really irreverent I like them and I think they will work for my needs, I just need some tips on glueing them, never done it

Big difference from the stock wheels

Im planning to keep the front bumper but raise it up some since the frame has been chopped off. Depends on what happens once I get it as a roller.

Oh I also got the trans mounted I might have to reverse the throttle channel but I did it this way one to clear the added girth of the Wraith size box but also to make room for the battery tray. Now waiting on TCS for an 83mm Junfac center shaft.

I also think I've nailed down a theme for the Jeep but it's going to require extensive body mods and I'm almost sure I'm going to attempt it, more on that later

You can gain some valuable space under the hood by using a slipper eliminator kit, or just using the stock input shaft from the original AX-10, Axial still sells them.

Nice project so far.

Thanks, I may need to once I start filling the compartment up.

I raised the front bumper up level with the body and am keeping it but it hangs out pretty far so having the front wheel pushed forward doesn't "look" out of proportion and almost necessary for steering. This is about where it will be I still may have to push it out a bit further but won't know til it's sitting at ride height under its own weight.

For glueing, go slowly and do small spots as you go along... put a drop in the bead, hold til it sets then repeat.

Thanks! I was going to gob it up and pop it on seriously. What your saying makes more sense. Going to see if I can find a utube video now

I'm thinking that your front axle location is in a good place. The main goal is to move the rearward inner edge of the front tires away from the inner "corner" of the front fenders so that they don't rub/bind when steering.

Looking good man. I think the standard wheel base is in the neighborhood of 12-5/8"

Using Wraith MIPS and the dig length Junfac shaft for the jackshaft, I think it's 83mm compressed.

Thanks. So far just the basics can't wait to start the customizing.

The front was just too far pushed out for me so I used the Wraith uppers as lowers on the front and made up some uppers with 8/32 rod and 1/4 tube. Works out to a 12 and 3/4" wb.

Also got the tires mounted up.
