A buddy gave me a basket case T-Maxx a couple years ago with 3 complete sets of tires. I picked up a set of 14mm hexes last year and have not yet tried them on my Jeep, mainly because I think with the offset on the rims I won't be able to turn without hitting the links. I'll have to dig them out and try it this weekend. I might need a set of custom wideners to push them out far enough to steer.

Short one is just a plastic hub from PL i use on the outside of the wheel for looks.

Inside is a VP alloy hub. Biggest one they make i use. For 12mm hexes....

Went out and grabbed an E-Revo shafty for testing. Some bad news....

I love how fat these shaftys are but keeping in mind i am not after scale in this build. Rather "beefy" is more a mindset here.

The E-Revo driveshaft installed (above) has contact between yoke & spurgear.

SUMMIT SHAFTYS
*These worked with the Wraith Transmission using a 0.8mod 54t spur*

Parts:
Traxxas #5656 half shaft set
Traxxas #5653 CV joint set

Had to bring the wheelbase in from 17" down to 16" to get Traxxas Summit halfshafts to work.

Also replaced the motormount & wheel nuts this morning.

Mocked up the erevo shaftys just for reference on the pinion angle. It seems close but i cant fine tune this til i get Summit shaftys and CV's.

This will be considered my 3/4 ton Clod Slaughter 3s? Lol

Took it out for a test run even though i had some makeshift shaft on the rear, which imo ...thought that would last a whole 5 minutes?

Turns out....i break a damn wheel off the hub. Crap Tamiya stuff drives me insane!! I need those ProLine Brawlers which are still on order. Ugh!!

In those few minutes the truck ran well but needs more juice. At the time its running 2s so dropping a 3s into it will probably do the trick. Lol

Ever hear of Traxxas Summit shaftys on the AR60's??

Bada$$
Drilled out the H-shaft from the yokes and slid over 5mm pinion. Setscrew goes right through. However...i managed to lose the grubscrew to hold the pin in place haha. Back to my LHS

This was a touch a fail...
Had to drill out a larger diameter and made reducer sleeves. Works awesome now!

Now im plagued with these crappy tamiya wheels that litterly break when you stare at em'

Where are my PL Brawlers???? Ugh!!

Here is the difference between the Axial Wildboar & Summit shaftys.

Finished bracing the towers

Not happy with ANY of the top side of this build... Tore it down and starting something else. Everything ran great but...

Still awaiting my PL Brawler clod wheels. Should be here soon!
