F350 1/6 scale mud life build Here is the start of my f350 mud life build. Got the chassis done but now onto the tube cradle and shock mounts and etc etc.... http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...cd03213530.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...1353992147.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...7ebe2e31ee.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build Where did you find the body?, Frame looks good and strong, great job! What size/style tires are you going to run? |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build Got the body from a fellow member on here. Plans right now are 40 series mud slingers. Thanks for the complement on the frame!! Got a lot to do and hope to have updates here in a day or two. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I have a set of 3.8" wheels and rok lox tires for sale in the classifieds that would look killer on this thing. Wes |
F350 1/6 scale mud life build Got some more done today. Not much but the front hoops tac'd in place and the rear shock towers as well. Once I like how everything fits I will go back and fully weld everything. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...9938b137bb.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...999571bc3a.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...7dc3ece78c.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build Great start so far. These 1/6 bodys really scale out well to 2.2's and wraith axles. |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build What length shocks are you going to run in the rear?, looks a little shallow |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build ^ I'd likely inquire in that too... especially since I seen no recessed bed ? gonna install a recessed bed ? only reason I assume the use a shorter shock. tho' maybe instead you intend on using a canti-lever suspension out back ? ...just like guessing even when I don't have a clue as to your direction  good enough reason to see what comes next ;-) looks 8) so far |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build Thanks guys! Yes longer shocks in the front and the rear just above the frame. Was going scale but I have a couple scale rigs now and so this build will more then likely be a lifted mud style truck. Don't know yet. The bed is somewhat recessed bed with a tailgate that goes down but it's not full recessed bed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build For right now I'll prob be using a e-maxx trans with it locked in one gear and the slipper shaft newer style upgrade http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...cf05d80faf.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Thanks for the bed well pictures, that helped in my perspective. I'd think the bed's depth would be fine as is... so I'd guess you could make the rear shock tower taller and more closely emulate the front(s). but it's your build, and I'm just here for the show 8) |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build Yea I'm kinda leaning towards a taller rear. I had those laying around so I tried them and I'm leaning towards bigger myself lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build Silly, side question but did they make a crew cab ford in 1/6 scale? |
Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build No I wish lol I thought bout making one but these body's are pretty hard to find Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Re: F350 1/6 scale mud life build Got a little more done. Took the rear shock mounts off and started new ones like the front and got the mount for the emaxx trans up front. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...4c7c13d5c8.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...936af0f442.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a9b0fedc80.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...bf934c1dd2.jpg http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...b56a0e4466.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
