Default Kraken RC - Something is coming and it's BIG!

I follow Kraken RC on various social media outlets and they have been randomly posting pics for a whole new machine. It looks like it's going to be a trailing arm "beast" with a billet solid rear axle. I wish I had downloaded the photo of the axle, but a man was holding it and it was as wide as his chest, probably 18" if I were to guess.

I did D/L this photo of the shocks in comparison to a Losi 5T....the rear shock is a staggering 12" long and dwarfed the 5T shock!

Kraken RC has indicated more announcements next week....whatever this is going to be, it's going to be a monster and likely very expensive $$$$$

I suspect the rig is going to be a trophy truck...quarter scale maybe?

I found more pics: (that one photo is comparing a Yeti XL rear solid axle)

Thanks for the Post. Even without seeing what the rest of it is, the Axle already made me set some $$ aside. I am sure i will need a lot more as Kraken products are not cheap. Looking forward to more pics and info.

Expect to see it priced for what you would expect out of typical large scale trucks.

This is a view of the transmission. Metal gears supported by aluminum housing and ball bearing drive train, and there is an output on the front as well (4WD)

FYI, I am the person holding the axle in that photo

Thank you Steve-O...very exciting indeed! Is the news going to be dropped this coming week, or the following week?

?? With aftermarket parts or Losi 5 pricing + the $$ increase for the size increase and the badassness (I know it's not a word).

Serious Drool inducing part.

Jealous. You are using the Rear Axle as a dumbbell all be it a machined perfect dumbbell.

Think around what the 5IVE-T is going for and base your assumptions on that. Noting that there is clearly some pretty nice hardware there (CNC'd axle housing, lower trailing arms, transmission, enormous metal diffs, huge shocks, 4WD, and more...)

Kraken RC just posted these two pics on their FB page....If I were a gambling man, this is what the new machine is going to be, not to mention this style of "truck/buggy" is right up Kraken's alley. VERY excited if it is.

I'm thinking quarter or third scale, too small for half scale.

1/4 scale is likely close. If Campbell is running 16" travel shocks in the rear, extended length would be 46", making the Kraken 12" units close to 1/4 scale.

"Dragon Slayer" is just a code name and there is nothing special about it. It is just a friendly poke at a chinese clone company that has been showing CAD drawings of a trophy truck type large scale car they have dubbed the "dragon hammer" which is behind the curve when compared to what Kraken has cooked up.

I just saw what should be the final finishing touches on the body graphics and it is sweeeeeet.

Let Shannon play with one and see if he would endorse it.
