| Just pulled the trigger on a Dragon
Yeah Baby I just pulled the trigger and bought A Pre-ordered Dragon 1:6 Scale 1/4 Ton 4x4 Truck Model Kit From Plastic-Model-kits.com Cause I could not find a Hasbro Willy's or a 21ST Century or even a World Of Toys Jeep They were priced too high or the shipping was crazy or I missed the sell or was out bidded The last couple I bidded on and lost had broken pieces missing and not every thing was there At least now I get one with the shovel and axe and gas can and spare tire and mirrors and lights All the ones I seen were missing one or two of these items and alot of had no windshield So its a done deal I can built it a R/C or a model Need to check it out first Cause I got AR60 axles and SCX10 axles And my GCM 4 Ten chassis with leaf springs and RC4WD Toyota axles I could build me a sick Dragon four linked or leaf springed Just got to wait for delivery now Last edited by kgb424; 06-23-2016 at 01:23 AM. |

I looked online and seen a vidoe of guy opening his Dragon kit He shows the chassis and floor plan and rear fender panels And the engine bay is a open area from the bottom So I could make a motor forward plate and use a SCX10 tranny Or use the RC4WD R2 tranny and make a tranny mount in the chassis They showed the hood and cowl and it looks like its notched for a hinge already I also seen another Dragon Jeep that they took Tamiya leaf spring hangers and had the them mocked up on the plastic chassis I got extra Tamiya leaf springs and hangers I will have to mock it up and see how it looks I also seen they sell four link hangers and have seen some builds where they used them I might make a new chassis and use leaf springs and my Toyota axles not sure if they are wide enough but wheel widers might work I also seen a couple Dragon builds with SCX10 axles and AR60 axles and they were four linked, some had custom servo mounts, some the servo was on the axle I need to mock it up with the different axles and see what wheel and hub offset I like and If I like 1.9'' too make it look more scale or 2.2'' for more ground clearance Last edited by kgb424; 06-19-2016 at 03:21 PM. |

I seen this Ford truck today at Napa I didn't really take that good of pictures cause the guy was leaving as I parked He bought the truck that way, the previous owner painted it But you can see the Camoflauge pretty good It might not look to bad on my Dragron Jeep Its something completely different and like the color combonation I like it alot, it gets me looking for stencils of some sort Going to check it out Last edited by kgb424; 06-20-2016 at 07:05 PM. |

Yeah Baby I just scored 2 1/6th scale trailers for the price of what they wanted for one One is a G.I. Joe trailer that is missing one brake light and trailer hitch The other one is a Marx Toys it also needs a hitch I also have this 10th scale trailer that I part out for the 1/6 trailer And extra leaf springs for the trailer I could use those and make some hangers And figure out an axle I also bidded on a set of replacement brake light for G.I. Joe trailer Cause if I'm building a Dragon its going to need a trailer or 2 Last edited by kgb424; 06-21-2016 at 12:52 PM. |

I could use the longer trailer for Jeep Mutt build I started The trailer in the pictures is a 21st Century and it has the same wheels and tires as the Mutt And the rear brake lights are ovel shaped and the fenders are square or flat on the 21st one The G.I. Joe trailer has a rounded fenders and round rear brake lights You can see the Hasbro trailer in the pictures above I'm not sure if the 21st one and the G.I. Joe one are the same size I could use Axial lightbuckets and make some square fenders And make the G.I. Joe trailer look like the 21st one The smaller trailer is a Marx and it could use light buckets The smaller one might not look to bad used with the Dragon Jeep Cause the Mutt is bigger than the Dragon Jeep So the trailer sizes could be scale or close enough To look right with a small and big trailer Last edited by kgb424; 06-24-2016 at 03:02 PM. |

I found these pictures of a hard top Mutt and trailer And soft top Mutt with a open trailer They are both model kits, not sure the scale The one trailer has a cover and gas cans attached to the cover I like it, cause its different I could take some styrene and bend it the same and make a cover and buy some 1/6 scale gas cans In the second picture there are a bunch of gas cans in a row I could make a rack and use multiple gas cans Throw in some ammo boxes Last edited by kgb424; 06-24-2016 at 03:08 PM. |

I found this picture of a 1/6 scale Jeep With doors and soft top I did find a set of doors on Ebay for a G.I. Joe Jeep it said Some one could add doors to there Hasbro Jeep It looks good both ways with or without the soft top The doors have been there awhile Not sure if they would work on a Dragron Jeep They are there if somebody wants the doors Last edited by kgb424; 06-27-2016 at 07:16 PM. |

I got my 1/6 scale trailers today These things are a lot bigger than I thought they would be They both need trailer hitches Going look and see if I can find some ideas Using eye bolts that spin 360 degrees to Make a Pintle Hook and Lunette Ring trailer hitch For lots of articulation Last edited by kgb424; 06-29-2016 at 04:54 PM. |

Yeah baby I got a 1/6 Browning M2 50 Cal machine with ammo belt and ammo boxes I could build a pedestal and a receiver/ammo box mount And put the 50 in the Dragon Jeep Even better my 1/6 scale Jeep Mutt already has a pedestal and receiver for a 30 cal machine gun That was part of the original play set I could make a receiver/ammo box mount so the 50 look like its belt feed It would look more scale in the Mutt because of the newer mount Then it would in a WW2 Jeep because the mount in the pictures with the 50 in the Jeep is too modern for WW2 And if I wanted to really get crazy I could buy 4 Dragon M2 50 cal kits And build the Quad 50 Last edited by kgb424; 07-02-2016 at 02:01 PM. |

Maw-duce FTW. The only thing better than modeling one is to have fired one in combat. |
