Default If Bigfoot 5 is 1:10 scale, that counts as large, right?

Had a juggernaut laying around. Decided to do something about it. It's been through a couple of revisions, just like the 1:1, but here is the most recent.

Started out making my own chassis. 2" longer and 4" taller.

Made my own links from 3/8" aluminum rod, 8/32 all thread, and Jato rod ends.

I used 13" cart tires from harbor freight. With only a couple pounds of air in them they are about 12.5" tall

I've got 5.5" under the diff.

Kinda makes that original Jugg 2 look a little tiny.
But I don't like how small the 89 body is.

Next to my pit box Winnie, and mini mine f150.
Still not liking how the 89 body looks.

Jugg Bigfoot, Jugg BF5, Clod 41 willys, Blizz Virginia Beach Beast, scratch built steel jeep.

Then, finally, the 93f250 JConcepts body got released.

2" longer, 2" wider, and almost 1/2" taller scale/trail body finally made it look right.

After the debut, I heard a click of doom. So I flipped the truck over to pull the trans. First thing I noticed was this.

So I cut it down a little and made a dyke.

The truck uses the stock Jugg trans wit GD600 GRU's and rc4wd 45 turn motors.

I had to replace the bottom 3 gears in the trans and greased it up.

Went for a drive today and tried some off camber climbs which let me find my weak point.

This thing is so cool

I ended up with driveshaft failures. Plural. Twisted out my dyke, and sheared the front.
Which is perfect.
Traxxas shafts are cheap and easy to replace. Unlike Jugg parts.

Would a steel driveshaft be better, or would it transfer the weak link higher up in the chassis? or would the diff gears then become the weak link?

Mike, I ended up throwing on some revo driveshafts and turned the throttle end point to 55% so it stalls out before things snap.
