Nice steering wheel! I've gotta learn to bend a circle and make one someday!

Thank you ,, I used a 1/2" drive socket clamped in vise , a set of needle nose vise grips ,clamped on end and swore spit and kicked the wall getting it formed .. I really like your video, it's very good ..

Thanks! Figured it would be a good way to finish off the build. Had fun making it with my son. Not sure I'd ever want to tackle something like that again as I'm knee deep in a '66 fastback right now.

I think I used your winch in my Jeep build? Can't remember now as it was so long ago but I remember seeing your winches and was impressed as it needed something small but powerful.

That seemingly simple task kicked me arse when I made one for my orange Jerp. I ended up bending it more than 360° ( more like 480° ) then sliced the overlap to make a round circle.

Now that's a good idea - bend it further than necessary then cut it where it makes the best circle. I've got a brake line bender that might work well too !

I wish you well. I'm working on my second Jeep now and decided I'd give a shot at making a steering wheel.

After futzing with it for a solid hour and a half I finally thought "screw this" and cut a slice of 2" PVC pipe and used it. It works just fine with none of the aggravation.

I also used a large socket clamped in the vise. Easiest way to make a hoop - just overlap it and cut it...
