scx6 another f150 new bright build

I found this one ebay cheap about a year ago its fitting in with my colection nicely as i seem to have a few ford trucks lol i originaly planed on using wraith axl3s but i think there a bit wide so i went with scx10 axles they seem to be perfict 4 link front and its gona have leafes on the rear and a wraith skid

Im using my e10 to get a idea on ride hight i no5iced that with the scx sized axles the tire is g9na just hit the frame some im gona mod it a bit

I clearenced the frame rails so they should be out of the tires now

I cut the frame back some more and installed the leaf hangers

Im not real happy with the wheel clearence so im gona cut the rear purches off and raise them up as much as i can

I made some progress i picked up a 2 speed wraith trans and i decided to use my old juggernaught duel motor and trans set up mounted up front and am using the 2 speed as a tcase i got the front axle mocked in to place im gona use my old novack dig esc to run the duel silver cans as of now i just need a locker a gear set and driveshafts and i should be up and running

Nice build.

I just got a New Bright 1/6 Raptor and a 1/8 New Bright single cab generic truck that site does look like a newer Dodge Ram sport with cowl induction hood. I'm convinced since it has a Dodge emblem on the tailgate and I saw a Ram just today that even had the same hood cowling.

What's the width of your body at the fender flares?

The width of my Raptor is 10.25" and the Dodge is 10". I guess the Dodge is actually considered a 1/6?

Im right around 10 8nches i want one of the dodge single cabs fot my bomber i want to build a 1/6 truggy

Where does the body line up compared to the wheel hexes? I'm sure we won't be using identical wheels and tires so that view would give me a better idea of how SCX10 axles would work on my builds.

My wheels and tires are extreemly wide about 2.5" and stick out about 1/8 inch maybe 3/16 ish so at my wheels im just under 10.5 inches wide my ripsaws with chanquish wheels sit flush with the body on both sides both sets of tires tuck under the body nicely if the suspention had that much traval anyway i would guess the xrmod axles would be perfict if your looking for big lift the ar60 would be a realy nice choice if i build me another one ill do the ssd read centered axle and ar60 front all the axles axial has out will work realy well for the 1/6th scale bodys in my opinion anyway

I took some pics just to get a feel of what it might look like using e10 or SCX10 axles. Once I get the current project off the desk, I'll set it up a little better to get a feel for stance.

Thats cool is it gona be gofast rig or a crawle Its a nice stocker look with the scx/e10 axles in my opinion im shooting for a work truck week end worrier style build im working on a ladder rack now i cant wait to run it its so close and ive been waiting to build this body for about 2 years now so its realy scratching at my skin being so close to done with no dough to buy the last few parts
