Rear links mocked up yesterday. Wheels sit where they’re supposed to on first try, dunno how I managed that Started in the front links yesterday and will tap the holes out today. Once I get it sitting on its own I can set height properly and make brackets for shocks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

All the links are done and fitted, not working quite as I’d hoped being a single link. It may be the extraspeed rod ends I used on the front as it binds a lot more than the rear using vanquish rod ends. Anyways I’m planning for take 2 on links. Making some tabs to make it a 4 link setup and I’ll change the lower links a bit. Thanks for following, the kids have been crook lately, work has been hectic and house projects all taking time away from Rc stuff. Ride height now set Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Shaped the upper link tabs and started on some other mounts. These could be used for slider/side step mounts or may be used for something else. I tell myself who needs a plasma table while I’m making these but at the same time wishing I had a plasma table. I am enjoying making these little pieces when I get a little free time and updating this thread for my memory bank. I treated myself to a new vice. 125mm jaw and adjustable for the drill press. I was using a normal vice but realised that the vice itself wasn’t level, even though the drill press is. whenever I’m drilling multiple pieces together nothing was square. The last hole or end of hole just wasn’t where it was meant to be. Looking forward to tomorrow now. |

Ok so new vice fitted. Man this makes things easier. Drilling through the 4 pieces is now accurate. I don’t have a use for these pieces yet but they will be used. Slider or side step mounts maybe. 3mm corner holes and 6.5mm centre hole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hope your all doing well, another few bits made for the truck now. When I designed the chassis I made the width match the dimensions of the link mounts of the AR60 axles. This means the links run Inline with the chassis instead of on an angle inwards like most do. I think that’s why the suspension was binding. So I’ve made these new link mounts and this will be mounted inside the chassis so the links will angle in and should solve the binding. Have only made these for the rear so far. Next is cut old mounts off and fit all this stuff. All the mounts and tabs I’m making are all 3mm mild steel and this particular Tube is just 6.3mm brake line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Really amazing work sir! This is turning out very nice. I appreciate your dedication to the file, I tend to do a lot of the same but mine don't turn out as nice as yours has. |

Thankyou for taking a look. I do like the files although it is hard work after a while. I’d like to add a linisher attachment to my bench grinder, it would save a lot of time and more accurate? Your builds are awesome too so Thanksfor commenting Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No RC progress as I’ve just been moving crap and trying to clean up the work shop. Decided I’d sheet the wall which is my main tinkering area, it’s almost finished so will look better than current photos. Also have redone the wiring, more power points, 15a for welder and a new switchboard. Much better area for activities. Still a mess though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If your shop is too tiddy you aren't getting anything done ;) Looking good! Excited for more updates. |

Thankyou. It is a big truck. I have a 195 amp mig welder. It’s near 10yrs old but a brilliant machine. Digital settings so I can keep it quite low and it does work well on small gauge steel. I do plan on painting it all once done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Was looking at the pics and noticed to you have 2 points of contact on the rear axle from the trailing arm. Im guessing that is where you are seeing the binding coming from.

Yes your right. I was trying to mimic like a radius arm on a 1:1 but it hasn’t worked. Design will be changed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agree with previous comments man that frame is sweet! You wouldnt happen to have a NB F350 body would you? I either need to find someone nearby with one of those CXT beds to compare to my F350 or someone that has both the CXT and new bright f350 to compare beds, I want to make my F350 into a dually and that bed (or at least the rear fenders) look like a good match.
