starting my 1:6 scale build

Hi, i just got my 1/6 scale body, and my twin force axles( which have a 30-1 rotio, right?). what i need now is to start collecting parts for this build. my plan is to run swamp dowg which are 6.75 inch high on a 2.6 rim. that ways they will look like about a 40" tire on a 16 inch rim.

where i need help is what tranny should i use and what motor as well. this truck will be used as a trail truck, i want it to be good for trail, mud and some rock crawling as well. a perfect all around truck.
so any help would be great.
as well what is a 2.6 rim? and where can i get some
thanks

for a trans, try an e-maxx trans since its a 2 speed and run the dual motors if necessary. for 2.6 rims, try the Imex website.

what is a Pedi tranny,
what is it out of , and would it work
between the emax a nd the pedi which is smaller?

thanks

a pede tranny is out of a traxxas stampede. the stampede is smaller from what i can tell. i am planing on using the pede tranny in my 1/6 ranger build i am starting in a couple weeks. dont know if its a good idea tho, but its small enough to fit where i think i want it to go, that and i dont trust the shifting trannys, bad luck with tamiya 3 speeds.

The E-Maxx tranny is a very strong tranny. The only thing you might need to do to it is lock it into 1st gear. But you can keep the two gears for speed and crawlabilaty. But from what I know, the E-Maxx tranny is a larger tranny and you can run daul motors if you need the extra power.

these are a couple of options for transmissions, just a thought. Also use the search function and punch in transmission, you can do some serious reading for a few hours.Oh don't forget if the website doesn't come up in english, look for the British flag.Google currency conversion to figure out the prices
