Default Official Capo Sixer1 Suzuki Samurai/Jimny Build Thread

After almost 8 weeks after placing my order the huge Capo package came in last week. Since this is my first build ever I decided to ordered the painted version with all of the electronics already provided.

After opening the box it looked like there were about 1,000 pieces. No instructions. Luckily, someone posted how to assemble instructions on YouTube. They are pretty straight forward.

I am including photos as I go along with the build.

So far I am enjoying assembling the Samurai and since it's winter I'm taking my time with it.

The transmission was the first thing to get assembled and so far the hardest.

I used Hi-Pressure Black Grease from Team Losi Racing.

Wow - you certainly jumped in feet first!

Excellent!

Will be watching with interest...

I took the budget way out to doing a Sammie - my dad had one just before he passed, so I picked up a discontinued Barrage kit at a hobby shop down in San Antonio to install my (also recently discontinued) Pro-Line Sumo body on.

Kit is built, body will need trimming and painting.

Absolutely NOTHING compared to this build, my friend!

So my shocks are not very hard or soft, I would say they are right in the middle as far as how they feel. Now, I do want to add accessories to my Samurai, roof rack, metal front and rear bumpers, so I am thinking of going with a thicker oil. What do you guys think about 80wt? The Samurai weighs 15 pounds. Would 90 or 100wt be overkill? I'd going to use this mainly for crawling and trails and would like the Samurai to ride and turn realistically.

Incredible detail - coming along VERY nicely - major props, this is going to be amazing!

Funny thing...

I've actually picked up a CCHand roof rack for this vehicle to be used on my RC4WD C2X as it is the size I was looking for.

How does it keep the grease from flinging onto the belt?

Any updates on this build? I ordered mine last week with all the extra goodies. I’m also currently bargaining to get a good price on the air suspension kit. Can’t wait!!
