GI Joe Willys Gearing Questions

For those who have built one AND used an RC4WD Disruptor, which one did you use? .75:1 or 2.18:1.

If you used a .75:1, what motor did you use?

I'm running a HH Puller Pro Stubby 1800kv with a Castle Mamba X (sensor wire being used). Stock Wraith axles, .75:1 Disruptor and a stock SCX10 transmission. It's got 32p 57/11 gearing.

When I try to crawl over anything larger than 2", the motor won't turn.

Is that .75:1 disruptor just too much for this heavy of a rig? Suggestions accepted.

Check out the sticky from Zoso, right above your thread, there's also a link to RCP Crawlers, looks like he sells the 2.18:1

Thanks Mike. Unfortunately no one has had one in stock in a few years. RC4WD quit making them quite a while ago. I'm not sure how I ended up with this .75:1, but I did.

I was hoping I could use the .75:1. I took it apart to see if I could swap the gears. But not only are the gears machined into the shafts, the case isn't big enough to swap them.

.75 to 1 would be a over drive more speed less torque
2.18 would be underdrive makes more torque and less speed
