Swapped this for my Arrma Kraton 8s, is literally brand new and was only briefly tested and then boxed up



Had a little play with it and I’m impressed with everything apart from the servo and the panhard mount flex, luckily I’ve got a big AGFRC 100kg here left over from another 1/5 build and I’ve just ordered the Bowhouse RC panhard brace kit

Welcome to the club Curb, good looking rig.

I really love my new Trail Honcho and cannot wait for summer so I can take it out on a hike. This is my first larger RC and now I am hooked.
I picked up a used X-Maxx to fling around when I want some speed in my life.

I have a relatively inexpensive 80kg servo to throw into mine and ordered the Samix front shock towers that have a pretty beefy panhard mount.

I have ordered a few other goodies, just to have on hand for when the "common" items break, but I will save all that for my thread.

Not sure what the common break items are but the only thing that has failed for me is the stock servo. I got mine in November 2022.

Grats on the scx6, it's definitely one of my top favorite rigs.

I picked up a servo, front shock mounts and a set aluminum axle housings.

Between the cold weather and younger kids ( and myself sometimes) at the wheel, I expect some breakage. I have not had real good luck wheeling in the winter.. sometimes, a simple tumble has a drastically different outcome when it’s below 15-20 degrees outside.

Nonetheless, the parts are here, is and where there is an issue..

I’ve just fitted the AGF 100kg servo and it’s made a huge difference, it’s the 2s version of the servo so I’ve also wired in a Hobbywing 10a BEC to power it, if I didnt already have the servo I would have gone for direct wire version though

I’ve cleaned out the horrid silicone grease out of the transmission and regreased it all with Lucas Red N Tacky. While it was in bits I’ve also added a Vitavon Slipper eliminator

Added some 3d printed hinges, much better than wonky stickers…….

I was a bit disappointed in the stock Axial body options because I expected an increased amount of molded detail parts for all that money...

I know what you mean, just adding hinges is a massive improvement, it would have cost hardly anything if Axial did them at the design stage, ohh well they are easy fitted after though. I’ll also be adding a snorkel and a grill mesh, then the body will be done for now

Needs a good sand and paint, its 3d printed and too rough for my liking
