| New Bright Ram & H3
I hacked up a WK chassis and added a little angle to it for a chassis. It's not very "trick" but it works. It's got a Sidewinder, Castle BEC and is currently using a TQ-3 to power some Tower Pros. Lockers will be installed this weekend along with a 45t Lathe and a smaller pinion. Future plans include a winch, dig, Headlights, taillights and maybe a horn. Here are some pics of the chassis with the Ram Body: http://www.patricksnorton.com/WK7/pi...08/2-6-081.htm And here area few of the H3. http://www.patricksnorton.com/WK7/pi...08/2-7-081.htm I'm still torn as to which I want to use. | If anything I may lower the front by mounting the shocks higher and moving the body up ... which woudl make the angle a little better as well.

I meant to edit my original post. Course not. It makes it easy and I look forward to having a few other big boys at the next meeting. I do too. I actually think I may sell the Ram body as well and keep just the H3. Decisions, decisions .... | |

Well, Scalerfreak is the new owner of the Ram & Yukon bodies as of Saturday. Since I have whittled it down to one body, I'm probably going to build a real chassis for this body, but in the meantime I decided to have a little fun with it. A little vid for ya: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=569JKYtbk1E Pics: http://www.patricksnorton.com/WK7/pi...8/2-10-081.htm Last edited by Locked Up; 02-11-2008 at 06:32 PM. |

Glad to see that you have the bodies narrowed down to one. Now let see some building I think that body is going to look good with the 2.2 combo, can't wait to start seeing some progress |

Well, After a little more bashing today I have found a weak link. The upper link mount keeps coming loose so I may have to braze it together. I am also having a hard time figuring out if the chassis is straight. I can't image it not being square but all my links are the same length yet I have 1/16th difference in WB. Unfortunately this half baked chassis will have to do for now but I am planning on something better over the next few months. Right now it't just too fun to beat on to take apart again. |
