first test runs are complete!! suspension setup works very well! no wobble no torque twist(might go to heavier springs once the front axle is pulling too.)70/30 droop setup with touring car springs. defiantly needs more weight on the axles, but all in all i am very pleased with things so far!! that leaves me with inner fenders only:-( going to try narrowed stockers with narrowed m2ks if they will fit. servo is going up onto the frame. this was just quicker for now. got my third drive shaft today, now as soon as that alu xxxnt diff gear gets here ill be able to test out the 4wd set up. ill also be replacing the txt trans with an e-maxx unit running into the xxxnt t-case (4.11:1) also got some of the cen resy shocks today. these are huge!! | |

added rear bumper and gas can mount, also added front stinger reinforcements and tcase mount/skidplate. mounted steering servo to the frame. as soon as my t case gear shows up and i get another revo shaft it will be a runner. |

finally got the alloy diff gear for the t case put it all together and drove it around for a few, until the t case started clicking again! the top shaft gear is steel the diff gear is alu. i left the plastic idler/brake hub in as a weak link. the only other thing i can do is put it all in a new case with new bearings to tighten it all up. i didnt realize the case was worn out??? ive broken them, just never wore one out before. if this doesnt do it, it will be time to find an alu case for it, or have one made. anyone have any other ideas? maybe a different t-case? one thats a little more stout. ok i pulled the t-case out and apart. just as i suspected its a tolerance issue, shaved the tops of the teeth off in 1 spot, the rest of the gear is brand new. so im thinking maybe a bent shaft too. pulled the bearings from the case too, super sloppy. so now i have a clue as to what happened in this instance. so some new bearings and the shafts and ill try, try again. |
