I ordered a set a few weeks ago for Uncle Ted, needless to say I ordered more... Check these out:  First order went to replace the VP SLW's SHCS's. I was so impressed I started to look around for more uses for this hardware.  RC4WD wheels before  Same wheels after! M2.5 holes re-tapped 4-40 and scale lug nuts shortened to 3/16. Ok I got my acorn screws and forgot to order the dang tool.. I had one from my rc4wd scale hex nuts and thought I read that the 3mm would work.. I won't.. So I ordered one in the mean time I did get one of the screws in my steelie and messed up one so I'll wait to finish the job until I get the tool.. Here the pic  All I did was drill and tap out the hub to 4-40 and had to open up the holes in the wheels to a 7/64th it works perfect.. You don't have to shorten the acorn screws or anything  Drill  Tap  I'll post up the finished product as soon as my acorn tool arrives.. Thanks lockedup for the awesome product |

A lot of you asked, so here they are:   4-40 x .4375" Acorn Wheel Studs Yup, longer 4-40 Acorn wheels studs, perfect for the VP XD hubs. And for those wanting the regular size ... they are back in stock! 4-40 x .25" Acorn Wheel Studs Last edited by Locked Up; 01-16-2016 at 10:39 AM. |
