I have three, they've all been fine.

Worst case, press the bearings on over a piece of a ziploc freezer bag and trim off the excess. (To act as a very thin shim.)
Every vanquish knuckle I've bought has needed that, as the bearings free spin in the VP holes.

Saran wrap works as an even thinner shim.

I haven't had this problem though. Mine have been rock-solid for over a year now, and the bearings fit just right.

Skerb,
Sorry you are having issues.

To get to our customer/product support and arrange a return/exchnage is to submit a ticket on the website "contact us" tab:
https://lockeduprc.3dcartstores.com/...tion=contactus

We do get on here frequently ... but that is monitored MUCH more and all returns/exchanges have to go through there anyway.

That OD being small has not been a problem in the past. In fact, we used to get complaints they they were too tight!
As with all things, there will be minor differences from part to part but if they are to loose for you we are happy to take those back and exchange them.
The guys in support can even double check the measurements of the parts they send you.

Just to let you guys know ...
BEWARE OF IMITATIONS!

Steveo 151 and Klampykixx both have lockers that looks VERY SIMILAR to ours ...but are made to fit some off brand gears.
If you get one of these off brand lockers, it's NOT going to work with Axial gears, VP housings, etc:
locker does not fit gear help

Just got two of the FI spools and they fit perfect. The bearings went on fine. When you say tight you don't joke lol. It loosened up a little after I worked it in and out a few times with some lube.

I replaced my set screw lockers with these and I'm impressed. Good job LU

Do you use the stock axial gearbox gasket when using these spools, or just screw spool directly to gear?

Thanks!

Default Locked Up RC - FI Spool

Hello i recently got my second FI spool but it seems like one of them is missing the inside grove for the axle shafts? Giving me a huge play on one side of my axle!

Fun fact: The FI Lunchbox spool also works in the HPI RS4:

A spool in the front is a quick and easy way to make most touring cars handle more consistently when cornering hard, but nobody makes spools for the RS4 for some reason.

This convenient crossover is brought to you by the fact that Axial copied many of the critical dimensions from the HPI RS4 / MT2 / Wheely King / Crawler King diffs, and the FI Lunchbox spool was made to fit inside an Axial diff.

Well that is a fun fact!

Do you mind if we hijack some of those pictures for the site?

How far out are you for a production run. Checked the site the other night, and several things for the wraith said to be out on a waiting list.

Anything made by Axial will be a while but if it is something we produce ... We are constantly restocking things.

We should have more FI spools ready this week.

Heavyweight spools will have limited quantities this week or next.

If you are looking for slipper eliminator kits those will be a couple of weeks. I thought we would have some done up this week but I forgot to check the pin holes before finishing them. So they need to be remade.
Not very happy with myself on that.

Other things it just depends.
More 2.2 wheels are getting wrapped up this week and some color options in the next 2 weeks.
Looking at color rings coming during the next couple of weeks & months.

If there is something specific you can always harass Chuck by sending in a ticket to ask.
Sometimes he knows, sometimes he doesn't because sometimes we have to put out a fire

Okay. I thought maybe you were cutting the axial gears in house. I was looking for those, the FI spool, and rear axleshafts.

Wraith Diff gears we currently carry are pure Axial.

We are working on some for the 10-ii and might get back around to doing some for the Wraith/SCX10 but no time frame on that.

New 2.2 designs coming? Or more of available designs?

Perhaps the Demon ring in 2.2 for the LockedUp wheels?

Depending on how thin the gap is, sticky aluminum-foil tape might work better. Wrap the bearing in a layer of the tape, trim the edges, and install. I've used this method to make bearings fit into sockets that were machined wrong and are a fraction of a millimeter too large -- or if I want to run a metric shaft and bearing in a housing designed for English parts. The Ziploc-bag trick is a good idea for gaps that are too thin for the tape to fit without being pushed off the bearing, though.

Sticky aluminum-foil tape also makes good gaskets for nitro engines, btw. Stick one or two layers of that stuff over an opening, cut out the center with a hobby knife, and assemble the mating parts together.
