Default Scale wheel hardware packages - need your input

Since it was requested, we are going to look into offering scale hardware for specific 4 wheel packages of other manufacturers ... but we need your help.

There are hundreds of different wheels out there and we do not have them all on hand to be able to check for ourselves. So, if you have a set of wheels that you would like us to offer a scale hardware kit for, please post up with the manufacturer name, wheel name and the associated quantities and sizes of the hardware on the wheels.

We will do our best to verify and accommodate everything we can.

Do you know what the hardware is in there?
We do not have one of those here to measure.

I run gearhead 2.2 wheels and they use 4-40 x 7mm for the hubs and rings.

For the 4-40x7 stuff in the hubs, our standard 4-40 Acorns should work.
Have you tried them?

We don't have a 4-40 scale hex bolt in production, so not package we can make for that. I wish they had done 3mm instead!

For VP OMFs you can buy a pack of our 4-40 Acorns and 2 bags of our 1-64 hardware.

Or is someone else making OMF as well?

Locked up already has M2 X 7mm in 30 packs, in three flavors black, mc zinc, and SS.

4-40 acorn wheel studs come in packs of 28.

Can you guess where I get all my scale hardware.

What I'd like to see is M2 acorn wheel studs 7mm and/or 8mm in length, so I can add a bit more "bling" to the rock monsters that TSS sold me a few months back. It'd be kinda nice to do up the TSS rock monsters completely in acorn studs.

Glad you like them!

Not saying never, but we are trying to make everything to fit our gear and Axial first... then we'll work on parts for others.

I think some of the motoworx stuff uses 2.5mm hardware for their wheels, as well as 4-40s, so I guess I could do with some 2.5mm scale hardware, and a scale cross wrench, you know four heads a 3mm, 2.5mm, 2mm, and a flat prying surface. I just want it as a scale item, but it you wanna make it strong enough to use then that'd be cool too.

We have 2-56 and 3mm stuff ...
Just need to get a count of how much they use.

And do the 2.2 use 2-56 for their center hubs?
I think they do and that was one of the reasons we did the 2-56 Acorn Nut kit ... but it's been a while since we put those together.

16 screws in each ring, both the 1.9 and 2.2

I'm pretty sure they are 2-56 for the center hubs (6 on most wheels) I swapped mine out for smaller 2mm stainless though. they would be why you made the 2-56 acorn nuts though, their hubs work the opposite as a slw (bolt goes through the hub and nut on the wheel side)

This is what I used for my Motoworx 2.2 wheels.

64 of your m2x7 scale bolts
32 of your 2mm acorn 3mm studs

The only issue I have is the 3mm driver is to thick to install the acorn studs with the Motorowx center caps. I am going to put the driver in the lathe and turn it down enough to work. Otherwise it looks damn good I think.
