We are VERY happy to announce the release of our TRX-4 Black Steel Portal Knuckles.

These knuckles not only look fantastic but help to add weight down low.

When combined with our Black Steel Portal Covers and Black Steel C-Hubs you get a ton of weight and a bulletproof setup that still looks scale.

What are these covers coated with? Is it black oxide or something else?

Subscribed... ;-)

I put them in my cart with some wheels...but haven't pulled the trigger. I also missed the 'black' part of the description. Oxide would be great.

Re: TRX-4 Black Steel Portal Knuckles

These are all a black oxide finish.

We considered black zinc but then they would be glossy.
We wanted these to be as subdued and as close to a 1:1 axle finish as we could get (without painting them flat black). "thumbsup"

One more question. What is the weight of these portal knuckles as well as the weight of the portal covers? I've seen conflicting information online.

Thank you.

Nope. They have not responded here and that's the only place I asked.

I do not have the portal covers or knuckles, but I do have the C-Hubs and they weigh ~45 grams each according to my scale. Not sure why they have not responded to you here, but I have ordered from their store multiple times and emailed them through the store. They ship very fast and are quite responsive through the store e-mail.

Don't recall, weighed mine before installation and they are slightly heavier than the brass MFR covers that I used on rear of my Defender.
