Default My losi micro crawler jeep/landrover

just picked this up today and after a trip to walmart, some cutting and velcroing the batt under the hood of the jeep body here she is:

definately handles better with the batt mounted up front. I have a feeling i will start collecting different 1/24 bodies as will many others. lol

Went to Target tonight and found another body- same assortment of new bright 1/24 rcs- landrover body.. i like this better because i also had room to mount the esc/rx on top of the servo and the batt on the back plate. Crawls and looks sweeet!

I must say.. this lil thing is starting to get quite addicting..

power taken from spliced servo wire with a connector and resistor to two leds.

I like the Jeep body pretty well, but I have a 1:18 Newbright LJ Jeep laying around that I have shortened to a scale TJ wb (1/2 inch) to a wb of 5 in. I dont know how I am going to stretch the micros wb but I am hoping that this body will be a little more scale. It is 3.5 inches wide (outside fender flare to outside fender flare) and as stated before now it is 5 in wb. I am hoping it will turn out for me. I will start a new thread later.

did some further shopping at a local dollar store and came up with some scale accessories: surf board, diy bungee cord, and shovel. Looks great on the top rack. Also picked up the 220mah nimh.

Modded my Eurgle 2.4ghz transmitter by fitting the nimh portable charger inside. It is now powered by the 8 aa's in the tx. Now i can charge on the go without lugging the big nimh brick along! To achieve this to work with my TX i used my micro rx and an old 18t esc which fit perfectly on the back plate with some minor trimming. I can't stop having fun with this thing!
