[QUOTE=JeremyH;2198900]Ok, I just watched the I Hobby video that I think you are referring to (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx-ZPgXwS-E) and about 3 minutes into the video he does address the LVC, but still isnt exactly clear. He just states that it will recognize the chemistry of the battery. I'll have to wait to see if it really does when I get my lipos in and get them installed on my Micro.[/QUOTE

100% positive it has lipo cutoff. I have hit it many times. The motor stops working but the steering still works, the same as my FX-R. I dont think it cares what chemistry the battery is, it works off voltage. When i plug a fresh charged stock battery in it I will get a red light like it thinks it is my lipo pack. But it cuts off the motor because it thinks the voltage is too low. I have to wiggle the steering for about 30 seconds then turn the truck off and back on so it will recognize it is the stock battery.

Ok....thanks. That's good news. I wonder why there is so much confusion on this subject...even with the Losi employees.

I ordered a bunch of batteries from http://www.himodel.com/
They are in china but the prices are very cheap even after shipping
It got to my door in just 4 days

this is the one i got, a little longer than stock but not an issue as it lays down on the rear axle ( or in the body of a scaler)
http://www.himodel.com/electric/HiMo..._Balancer.html

No run times yet as everything is apart, However it has charged fine
everything was wrapped in foam padding in its own zip baggie

Not sure how well it would fit but it will work and will charge from the stock charger
You might be able to find a better battery for a better price

You were absolutely right! I ran a lipo on my Micro for the first time today and it shut off right at 6.2V.

Yes the losi NiMH battery will charge with the stock charger
same plug and both are NiMH
the only thing I am not sure of is how well it will fit in the stock location
though thats not much of an issue because no one keeps it there
