Default The rock box (Losi micro course)

Well since I WILL be getting a Losi micro crawler, I need some terain to drive it on. I came up with an idea of a box with rocks in it. It is a 12" by 12" box with real rocks in it. I cut two sides where they fold down for more room, but still fold up to a box, and grabed some small rocks out of the back yard. With the rocks washed to my surprise super glue (gell kind) held the rocks down quite well. Even the large rock stayed glued. After all that was togethere I painted it black. I think it will be perfect for the micro that is portable too. I called it Rock Box #1 because this was more less a prototype and I will make different ones soon. Just need a micro now!

Yes they are glued in. They don't move.

It's a neat idea that will get other people thinking...

Maybe keep a large ammo-can on hand with various rocks and a towel inside: portable crawling area that breaks down, can change every time, and can be setup anywhere. Hmmmm. I might just try that and see what kind of spread can be made by what will fit in an ammo-can.

You parents with kids - have a big tub of those over-sized Legos?

What about Paper Mache? Lots of people talked about it for the MRC. I think the LMC may be perfect for some paper mache sectionals...
