Thumbs up Got my Losi 1/24 today...

Picked up my 1/24 MRC today. Cute little thing. I got the BND. Been playing with it today at work. It charges up pretty quick. It is very top heavy! and it's not hard to stall it out. This looks like it will be a tricky little rig to mod. But I have a couple of ideas that I will try when I get home to see if I can get the COG down a bit. Also going to try and make some new upper links for it. And man these Claws are tiny!!!

I am going to make new upper links for the rear of mine and combine it with a new upper link mount. The front is pretty tight on the uppers, any lower and you will get into the tires.

Oh and you could have put this in the MICRO forum

Got a little work done tonight. Chopped the body and slammed it! The stickers had to go for something a little classier:-P Got the battery moved to the front. And I dug out some old buggy shock that I'm going to mount up and get this chassis a little lower to the ground, you know I like belly dragers! I also have a 1/24 4WD buggy that has just the right size tires and wheels for this project I should have those on tomorrow. And yes, they hook up! They are not as slick as the Claws.

Stopped by the LHS today. The owner called me to let me know that he got the lipo's and charger in for this rig. I was like ok cool, be there in a few. I got there and he handed it to me. I looked at it and was like, that's cute! It's the same exact size of the battery pack that comes with it. But there was a prob. When I looked at the price I started laughing! I asked Dave, is that the real price? He says yep. $59 for a 1s lipo with wall charger! WTF!?!?!?:? So I just picked up a couple of the stock batteries for $8 a pop. I love Losi but man they stick it to ya on the hop-ups!:-(

Just a quick ?... Why go with a 1s lipo? the ESC is supposed to recognize a 2s to go in lipo shut off mode. Other than longer run times no benefit, less voltage than stock and you run the risk of killing the lipo, ok so it $10 but still, I dont get it

just wire 2 in series and you have a 2s 7.4 volt lipo.

Why worry with that the LOSB0863 is a 7.4V 180mAh Lipo that is the same size as the stock battery...Losi also has a larger 7.4V 300mAh that is twice the size as the stock.
