Default Micro scout2

well i have had the micro for a week now and have had alot of fun playing on the hobby table!!
i decided to throw a new lid on it!

it will need a little more fender trimming but i think it looks pretty good!

i did the usual changes, moved the battery down on the servo, moved the esc down a little and took the springs out of the shocks. i also weighted the wheels!
i will update later with more progress!

it will not stay this color, i will strip it off and do it the color i wanted origanally!

yes, i just cut some brake line and epoxied/hot glued it on the inside so that it match's up with the stock body post. then i just worm it on like a normal body! i used hot glue cuz the epoxy was just breaking off.

sorry for the crappy pics!

Its true, these tires are just too big for most scale looking bodies! i hope within a month or so they will have some!

I have been looking at the Micro High Roller wheels and tires. I just wish my local hobby shop had some to test out. They have the truck in the box. The Micro Desert truck wheels and tires might be OK but they are pretty small.

I know the micro dt wheels won't work due to they don't use a hex. I haven't been able to find the high roller wheels in a picture or diagram to show how they mount but I would not expect them to be a bolt on to the micro crawlers 7mm hex.:-(

It's the popularity of 1:24th scale in the styrene static model community that has caused this dilemma. Someone will stumble across the right wheel at some point, and/or how to modify something to work. These are new to the market but are catching on fast.

I was checking those out myself, they look like they'd be a good candidate except I'd bet the compound is harder than we want for crawling purposes.
