| Shock options.........
Sooooo, im rockin droop right now. i moved the shocks down to the lower holes that the tronics plates originally mounted in... Now, i hate droop, but it does work better than stock.... BUT, w/ the shocks laying down, it opes up a good deal of options.... i see a lot of folks have replaced their stock shocks with shocks from another micro. so i did a lil lookin around and found some sick lookin alluminum shocks. what i wanna know is which YOU all would think may work better, of if i should stick to plastics.... So first up, micro T ally's from horizon http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSB1605 Integy's version http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXSKC5&P=FR 3racing's (which are my favs thus far second set) http://www.atomicmods.com/ZoomImage....d-11c8e200cb33 http://www.atomicmods.com/ZoomImage....5-825211f396d7 a titanium set http://www.atomicmods.com/ZoomImage....roductID=13269 I dunno, im hesitant to pull the trigger when stoc McRC shocks are $7 and the Mico t's are $6 what do yall think? |

I am running the micro-t rears all the way around on mine, with the shocks mounted where the electric trays went..These shocks fit and work perfectly.. So i think in these sets you listed, ea comes with 2 fronts and 2 rears, so you would have to buy 2 sets of each.. I have the 3 racing shocks and you would have to mod the shock caps for the tops in order to mount them up.. the springs on these (the rears) are great! |

same reason you need oil in shocks for a 1.9,2.2. super or a 1:1... it makes your suspension's progression smooth as silk. opposed to just slamming up and down like it does now. however, for weight purposes on these dinky lil things, i dont know if id run just oil or just the springs, or both |

Just use some rubber band limiters like I'm rockin' on the 4'Runner. Rides like a horse and buggy but its got lots of travel. |

Using the long rear Micro-T shocks works but it does limit the articulation.....another disadvantage of running full droop is that the trucks suspension sometimes binds up and does not re-center or re-balance after exiting an obstacle leaving the body/chassis cocked to one side. My solution is to run the stock long shocks with the long rear Micro-T springs....you still get almost full droop (which lowers your COG) but it also gives you about 1/4 inch of spring play which is just enough to help re-center the chassis....less binding, still get the droop |

Those shocks pictured look like they mount with screw rather than ball. With only one plan of movement wouldn't they bind?

| you have had the lil micro t shocks leak? i added some lil tiny rubberbands that run from the top of each shock to where the upper link mounts on the axels. seems to elliminate the suspension getting "stuck". I did it so when im going up or down a steep incline, the shocks to slam open, causing me to roll. im gonna rock this for a while and see. it seemed to give me advantages on my home course |

Beezle - I think he thought we were talking about putting oil in the stock shocks... Not the oil filled ones we were talking about...

[QUOTE=Dogbreath;2166808]Using the long rear Micro-T shocks works but it does limit the articulation..... I run these and think the articulation is perfect with them.. The micro had too much articulation to begin with.. |

| Those Atomic shocks are grease shocks. They do come with grease but NO springs. The grease does leak out a bit becose its all over the shaft.

[QUOTE=BEELZEBOB;2167763]you have had the lil micro t shocks leak? TheToyz and 3 Racing oil shocks do leak. Not a bunch but leak just the same. Both shock brands can leak less if you install Losi slipper rubber O-rings in the caps. |
