Funny, stupid, and impractical bodies gallery Since this Micro is so small it's a good platform for some fun. Who can come up with the funniest body for the little Losi? I searched for paper bodies online and found these. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...C/PC231212.jpghttp://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...C/PC231210.jpg Actually I think the yellow Dakar rally truck is pretty cool, but it won't be too practical as it will get destroyed fast. Then I whipped out the Lego body, heavy and silly ugly. I got some other ideas in the works that I'll get to later. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...C/PC231214.jpghttp://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b4...C/PC231216.jpg So if anyone else has some silly bodies, make them and give us a laugh. |
lego's bad ass lol:mrgreen: |
Those would make sweet templates for scratch builds. The paper ones that is, not the Legos:mrgreen: |
If I'd only kept all my legos I could build a course and a body, haha. |

My 5y.o. prefers the lego one though ;)! |
i agree the dakar one kicks ass **edit** he might be getting them from here : http://www.ss42.com/pt-cars.html found this one too but dont know how he is getting them the correct size. http://genius.x0.com/pmdirectory/ |
so i found some cool bodies on those links... after farting around in photoshop getting the size rite here is my toyota landcruiser. i did it on 110 lb press card stock so its a little stronger then standard paper. i also ran out of ink so it gave me the chance to give it a little sharpie paint job. any way check it out. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...obodies006.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...obodies007.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h9...obodies008.jpg |
hmmmmmm. this almost seems like a fantastic lil idea.... |
Just do a search for "paper models" and you'll see there's lots of free templates out there. You may have to scale up/down the image to get it to fit right and you'll have to print on thicker paper or glue it to thicker paper which is what I did. Upon further consideration if you covered them in thick clear packing tape and/or infused it with fiberglass resin from the backside, these would make some good cheap bodies. I think I'll start a paper models body thread since there were so many cool ones out there. I got the Dakar ones here, it was just luck the body is about the right size. http://www.racepaper.de/ Now can we see some goofy bodies? |
Not tryin to jack this thread, but that Dakar truck inspired my new Aluminum-body build..thanx and credit to takman: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/micro-scale-rigs/248686-aluminum-body-rally-truck.html |
