These things are a blast! I got mines and so far the only thing I have done is take the springs off, though I haven't had much chance to test it that way.

these lil guys are great. i cut 4 coils off the springs, reversed the tranny, lipo on the rear axle, and micro deans so far. that little made a huge difference! like you said, read these these threads. plenty of knowledge and sick rigs to be found!!!! have fun!!!!!!!

Took the foams out and put the bat on the servo. What does cutting the springs do? I can't wait until the aftermarket gets ahold of this thing.

cut springs = lower center of gravity, and semi droop to improve its handling on the rocks

You will love it! So far I have:

BWD wheel weight kit

relocated battery and esc to axles

removed internal plastics

cut the original battery holder down to use as a chassis brace to reduce
flex of having taken plastics out. (coming soon BWD Wedge)

droop using mirco t rears stretched over the shock cap and ball cup as return springs, red (medium) rear and white (soft) front,

Inverted shocks lowering CoG

extended bent lower links, extended upper links

Lowered upper shock mounting point to old internal plastics mount, lower CoG

lipo

flipped tranny shifting weight forward

Hacked the body to allow droop clearance of esc on front axle.

Cut windows out of the body (weight redux?) lol just for fun.

hs-65 servo - ridiculous steering power!
