Wow that is awesome! I seriously want one now! Have you had a chance to test it out yet?

That turned out nicely! With the shocks triangulated like that, are you able to inboard the upper chassis link mounts and still clear the shocks??

I put a couple packs through it and so far it is performing nicely.

awesome looking chassis, looks like you have sorted the droop set-up problem while still using the springs on the shocks...

Inboarding the upper links is not looking like a possibility with the stock links. The pivot balls can only be installed one way in the links and they would have to be reversed in order for it to work (to keep the notch in the links facing the same way).

Maybe when it gets closer to final production. I have only just started testing, so no promises are going to made just yet.

Thanks, that was one of the main goals.

Um...what?:?

Only thing I've done that differs from stock (besides the chassis) is remove the ESC/RX unit from the case and wrap it in electrical tape. Other than that, none of the components have changed from stock.

The ride height is adjustable via the upper shock mount cross members. In the photo below you can see it is set at the lowest position. The lower links are parallel to the ground. For the next prototype I will be adding another hole for the upper links, so that they will be parallel with the lowers. Also, there will be more options for body mounting.

Nothing wrong with that....I pulled that case after the first run!

The articulation in the pictures is not maxed out. You can see the space left in the compressed shock in the shots with the body off. I will get some pics of the max articulation for you.

I am a firm believer (from experience) that there is a point where too much articulation will hinder performance. So having a ton of articulation is not exactly something I am looking to create with this chassis.

The Pinch is designed to use the stock components and be competitive...competitive meaning it will perform well under the conditions found at competitions (i.e. climbs and off-camber/side hill situations).

So, yes the suspension can be set up to have a low center of gravity (as shown with the lower links parallel to the ground) or if the driver wants to have more belly clearance, that is possible as well by moving the shock mounts down on the chassis.

The Pinch uses a sprung suspension. I have not tried droop with this chassis, because I am not a fan (hate is too strong of a word) of that type of suspension due to it's inconsistency. Droop is used on the stock chassis, because it is the only way to get the truck low enough to have any decent center of gravity.

I hope that clears things up for you. Thanks for taking the time to have a look and if you have any more questions feel free to ask.

Sure, you do this AFTER I convert mine to a scaler. Looks nice man, I wish I had money for another micro, because if I did, I'd be on the waiting list We need a longer video though! Looked great in the short one.
