I have to say this is a very impressive chassis. Its just as easy to install as any other chassis plate set out there but its performance is much better than the others i have tried. After being dissapointed by the DP shockless chassis and Hot Racings plates i was a bit skeptical. but after the few days of testing this chassis out I have to say I wont take them off for anything. A great design and could easily turn a off the shelf micro into a very impressive crawler, almost to the point of being a comp grade micro.

Great Job SVEN

I will take one, very nice job and thanks for answering the myriad of questions by everyone. That takes patience and time in and of itself.

Update:

Redesigned upper shock mounts allow quick ride height changes, they no longer interfere with the top upper link mount location, and there is now a way to secure the ESC. A physical ESC plate is just not feasible with the limited space on the micro (at least not one that would yield a low center of gravity). The ESC will still be placed in the same location as shown in previous photos, it is just now more secure.

The new side plates are next up on the machine.

Updated shock mounts and side plates mounted up. You can see the rubber band that holds the ESC in place.

Steven I wish I had half the brain power as you do when it comes to designing stuff. I envy your innovation to this hobby since you got the cutting tools from Kami. Hurry up with a website!

I am a firm believer (from experience) that there is a point where too much articulation will hinder performance. So having a ton of articulation is not exactly something I am looking to create with this chassis.

Truer words were never spoken, dude!! Nice work ont the rig... Simple yet elegant, a hopup anyone can use and enjoy!

Thank you for the kind words Colby. Much appreciated!

I only wish I had more time to dedicate to designing/building.

Thank you Sir! Yep, massive articulation is over rated.

Hi Sven,

I'm interested in this chassis, but would like to find out what's the shipping cost to Singapore before I place an order.

Thanks & Regards,
Edwin

Were you able to eliminate the axle steer on V2?

I had none on mine. And my shocks were stock with no mods

Default rebuilt cj with pinch chassis

My shiny new pinch chassis arrived on thursday afternoon in a nondescript envelope. I ripped into it immediately and obsessively rebuilt my little murdered out cj7. I think i read before that the holes were going to be a bit too small, but the material is soft enough for the screws to self tap with a little effort. Using the upper most shock and link mount points it sits very low (tends to get high centered more easily). However, it is much more stable. I am now able to climb and descend objects that would have been a sure flip with the stock chassis in droop mode. Finally the shocks seem to actually perform as they should. Instead of just being springy for no apparent reason the inboard setup seems to force the wheels onto the surface. My body choice severely limits the flex range, but the stiffness of the stock springs supports the weight nicely. I am very impressed with this thing overall. Thanks SVEN, well done!

I have my pinch with all stock parts other than no foam in the tires and a custom body. I tried out my new TMC last nite and it has loads of mods and I think my pinch is just as capible. I can't say how impressed I am with my pinch.
