Using the upper most shock and link mount points it sits very low (tends to get high centered more easily). However, it is much more stable. I am now able to climb and descend objects that would have been a sure flip with the stock chassis in droop mode. Finally the shocks seem to actually perform as they should. Instead of just being springy for no apparent reason the inboard setup seems to force the wheels onto the surface. My body choice severely limits the flex range, but the stiffness of the stock springs supports the weight nicely. I am very impressed with this thing overall. Thanks SVEN, well done!
Love the build Sarlac!

Sorry to hear of your Grandmothers illness and death Steve.

I noticed you are running with springs & the shocks in the standard upright position instead of no springs & reversed for droop. Wouldn't reversed shocks & no springs work better? I am ready when they become available.

That is a common misconception. The reason many think it is true, is because that is the best way to get a Stock chassis to be low enough to work decent.

This chassis was designed to work well using stock components and use a sprung suspension. A sprung suspension will provide dampening (like when jumping) where a full droop will not.

Hang in there Dan, this is without question one of the best performing chassis available and it was designed to make those stock Micro parts work. It's light and the geometry is excellent don't lose your focus.

Default Re: The Pinch - Micro Comp Chassis build

I got one of the few remaining Pinch chassis left, thanks to Steven finding one when clearing house. I don't know if he ever plans on making more, so I was very grateful he was able to help me out when the chassis I bought from another member got lost in the mail.

I got it yesterday and just finished installing it after work. Without even running it, I can tell this is one awesome well-designed chassis. One thing I noticed, based on comments posted previously, is that the springs do indeed function the way they ought to. No springy bouncey feel. Very articulate. I can't wait to fix my on/off switch connections (might just solder a jumper) and run this baby!!

Once again, thanks to Steven.
